Yoshimatsu went his own way unaffected by all the dissonant angry music of the 20th century. After a hard day this is nice stuff to help relocate your center.
01:29:42 Op. 76 No. 7 is incredible, feels celestial and earthly at the same time, similar to Bach. I should also mention Op. 35 No. 6 (34:17), Op. 51 No. 5 (Arabesque in Twilight, 01:00:12), Op. 76 No. 3 (01:23:00), Op. 76 No. 5 (1:25:58), Op. 78a No. 3 (01:35:40), Op. 78a No. 6 (1:39:43) and Op. 78a No. 7 (01:41:40)
One of the most fascinating piano cycle I ever heard. I knew only five of the nine Pleiades Dances (it's difficult to find the two CDs registered by Kyoko Tabe). Thanks very much for posting the complete "polyptyque", if I can give that name at the wonderful work of Yoshimatsu.
