Taimak Doesn't Think Michael Jai White Could Beat Up Bruce Lee (Part 5)

Ойын-сауық

Part 4: • Taimak Feeling Betraye...
Part 1: • Taimak on Having a Whi...
--------
In this clip, Taimak shot down the idea that Michael Jai White could beat Bruce Lee in a fight. He explained to Vlad how size doesn't matter much in the martial arts game and how he's seen little guys handle the larger, more imposing men. Taimak also discussed his acting career after The Last Dragon and some of the other opportunities he got being around Hollywood. For instance, he spoke about being a martial arts choreographer for huge acts like Madonna and Janet Jackson.

Yeah... I think so too... And then this dudes decided to play it safe in this interview... Because if he is being honest, then he must have buried himself in a personal interest because "colorblind to racism" is an unnamed mental disorder. At the very least an extreme form of denial. America is fucked up... We cant ignore it... It is possible.to be a positive person and let MFs know what time it is.

It depends on who they're raised by as well, more time mixed kids who are close to their black side come out identifying black, but if they dont know their black side they get confused. But I have seen the odd occasion where mixed kids raised by their white families who experience racism from their own family from birth, when they leave he house come out super black lol. Guess it just depends.

i went to a comic book convention with my daughter (who was a fan) and we was the first people waiting on the line. we saw taimak and my daughter wanted to take a pic of him. no one else was on the line...just us two. his handlers jumped in front of my camera and said, 'no pics unless you pay $10. i had already paid $20 each for tickets to get in. i was offended because we waited so long for taimak to appear and there was no other fans on line yet. i said to my daughter 'f this!' and we started to leave. taimak told his handlers to stop. and he agreed to pose for a pic. i was so happy for her to get her pic of taimak. taimak went further to ask if i wanted to get a pic with him posing with my daughter (wow) so i took another pic. then taimak asked me if i wanted his handler to talk a pic of us all together (lol) i thanked him for being so kind but i said no (i did not trust his handlers to touch my camera). taimak is a sweet person. he is truly a kind and just minded individual. taimak deserves everything good he wants in life. he made my daughter's day and he left a good impression. btw: i saw adam west (original batman actor) at this convention also. he was sitting at a table (with no fans around) i merely passed the table after being with taimak. i had 0 intention of even going to speak to adam west (lol). he did not even try to be friendly (like he did not want to be there). his handlers blocked his table from people and had their hands out for $$$. these comic book conventions are the FANS who will carry an actor through it all. the handlers are there to collect $$ but they are too rude and greedy. i also saw a character from xena named 'Autolycus, the King of Thieves 'played by actor, Bruce Campbell. i was walking by his table. i did not know who he was ( i thought he was the most handsome white man i have ever seen. ) he waved hello and smiled. i said, you are very handsome. he blushed. i walked away. true story.

Bruce Lee was very truthful about his own strengths and weaknesses. He sought out knowledge from Gene LaBelle on grappling. He sought out knowledge on karate from Chuck Norris. Bruce was fascinated with boxing because, by his own admission, boxers were the best punchers in the world. All of this, "Bruce Lee could beat (insert name)," hype is different media trying to create a meta for attention and profit. If Bruce had not died, none of these Bruce Lee vs The World conversations would exist because he would've denied all of it.

That comment doesn't make any sense. If racism is the reason he didn't get roles then "embracing his blackness" (whatever the hell that means) would cause Hollywood excess to push him further away. Wesley Snipes got roles. STARRING roles from the late 80s throughout the 90s. He's darker than a chocolate bar. I watched a special about him on TV One several years ago where he said that he *WAS* offered a sequel to _The Last Dragon_ but turned it down. I met this guy at C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo) back in 2012. When I brought this up to him he claimed that he was never offered a sequel. So either he lied to me personally, or he lied to everyone on that special. So this guy's word is sketchy at best. Tell me something. Why do we as black people expect white people to look out for us better than we look out for ourselves? It's not there responsibility to represent us and there is no prerequisite to what so-called "blackness" is. If WE owned ALL the movie studios and productions companies, how many white people would be in starring roles in films? **crickets** Keep it real dog. You know that if you had all that bread you would be casting nothing but brothers. You can't throw shade at them looking out for theirs when you know you look out for yours. We are ALL hypocrites in this.

His father is Italian, so Taimak will never understand or be in touch with his black side. The race and ethnicity of the father usually determines the child's mannerisms, physical appearance, etc. Taimak was always lost, and I also read that part of the reason why Taimak never got anymore roles after the Last Dragon was because he was too stiff, like worse than a cop! Remember, Taimak also appeared in Janet Jackson's video "Let's wait awhile", and she said the way he acted in her video, stiff and virgin like, was the way he was in real life. I could tell from watching his role in her video and the movie The Last Dragon, that Taimak was a square when it came to dealing with women. I can halfway understand why because he dedicated his entire life to the martial arts!, plus his father is Italian/White, so of course he's a little off. Part of Martial Arts teachings and the bible is that the most solid warriors never "defiled themselves with women". It sounds gay, but the martial arts is a craft that demands exclusive devotion, and Taimak gave all of his exclusive devotion to the the martial arts. Not mad at him, but scratchin' my head at the same time. As a fellow, much less experienced martial artist myself, I do understand the culture as to why he was so stiff, but of course, I done had me some pussy, got 3 kids and drama behind it! Lmao! Kudos to Taimak and Michael Jai White!, but Taimak is one of THE ORIGINAL BLACK MARTIAL ARTISTS, AFTER JIM KELLY!

I think you need to talk to Conner and jellybean. Professional boxing has more world class fighters and therefore weight class is important. Tell ya what, take any weight in any style, include boxing or whatever and put them in a ring with the heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Very quickly you, they or whoever will understand the need for weight classes. Are you too young to remember the exhibition match between Ali and the then world Karate Champion? The Karate master laid on his back with his legs up in a defensive posture the entire match. He wanted no parts of a bigger and faster Ali (and if you don't think a professional boxer's handspeed is faster than those in other martial arts, then you need to stop watching movies and ask someone.. boxers work day and night endlessly of handspeed and power.. cue Ali's "phantom punch") Your argument may be valid when dealing with scrubs because an undersized but better fighter would beat a heavier fighter with bad technique. But if there isn't a big disparity in technique and training (like amongst world class boxers) you better know weight classes matter.
