TAILOR FISHING: HEADLAND SURF FISHING ADVENTURE!!!!

Fishing with hard body lures off an NSW coastal headland chasing tailor (bluefish).
The plan was to catch a couple of small just legal sized tailor to use as live bait off the beach at night for some mulloway/jew. As usual things didn't go to plan, no small tailor caught, instead a nice green back tailor which the light whiting/bream surf rod struggled to handle.

@@LoveYakkenit’s me again. Pretty sure I know where this is but definitely keep it a secret if your catching that big of a tailor. Do you think a spinner will still be good as the water is getting colder. Or change because the tailor like warmer water.

Spinners will work fine right through winter for tailor, it's what I mainly use, I don't use hard bodys much in the surf but might now after this session. Cheers.

nice greenback bro, know that spot well only under our current swell is it worth the risk there ...but there are some monster mulloway at that ledge...have been thinking about giving it a run for some longtail if your ever keen to join. another gr8 vid showcasing our backyard :)

Cheers mate, yeah its a sketchy spot to fish, low tide and no swell is the only time I will fish it. Im keen for the longtail once they start showing up in numbers.
