Filming the AC boats is just a hobby I picked up during the last cup.

Not much to see from this footage as ETNZ bring Taihoro in from way out over the horizon this afternoon and eventually slow her to a stop next to North Head to derig. I had missed them at the start of their session as they sailed around the channel briefly. After that they were just a stick on the horizon before completely disappearing somewhere between Rakino and Tiri Tiri Matangi islands for the rest of their sailing session. As they eventually reappeared again they came closer and closer but then made a b-line directly to North Head.
Very little time left now for sailing locally, and with a lot of the team heading over to Bermuda for Sail GP next week, I assume that will also mark the end of Taihoro's NZ stint before beginning its journey to Barcelona.

My pleasure Roslyn! It was a nice afternoon down by the shore at Milford... yes they're looking great 👍
Dude, even at that speed you had her perfectly framed the whole way! Bravo!

Thanks man... I've had a lot of practice 🤣 ...and also they're a long way from me... gets harder the closer they are
There's only one word to describe that run - _insane!_
Filmed from the Audrey Rd end of the rocks south of Milford beach by the looks of it. Your camera continues to break my mind with how small the landscape looks. Kennedy Park might further erode their ability to get a quiet moment to try stuff far from the prying eyes of town.

Good spotting! I almost went up to Kennedy Park since I was up that way anyway... maybe next time... its a good overview from up there
This would have been their smallest J1 jib
That's moving at 58 60 plus knots for sure

It looks like to me they are simulating wave state.
Ha, like my boat will do 50km with a 60 hp, those fisherman with two outboards look like they are standing still

R S rocket ship
Beautiful footage as always! I am kind of jealous though, when at 6:00 I see the surfers popping up - because it just doesn't want to get warm here in the middle of Europe 😩🫣😅!
