I remembered this song came up in 1970 Koviseth sung about the Tai Dum people that left their homeland in 1955 when the North Vietnamese drove the French out of Indochina.

Where can I see more performances from those dancers?? I was never really a fan of "fawnt" until I saw them. Something special about the way they do it, I think it's because they they put their entire body into it. They are beautiful and talented.

this is a great song, learned it when i went to school in Laos, but the Commies do not like Korviseth very much.
No, we are different groups. Lao is South-West Tai. Tai Dam are older, used to live in Sip Song Chou Tai (North West of Vietnam) closer to our common ancestors the Zhuang (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuang_people). Lao came from Xishuangbanna down South along the Lancang river.
