It’s nice to see how this shaykh approaches the audience with the understanding that they could be listening to anything that is said for the first time with fresh ears and not taking that for granted An example where he explained the royal “we” Alhamdulillah Allah has enlightened me to its meaning but I clearly remember a day before this where I didn’t know what it meant and have even come across KZread comments where non Muslims have asked what the “we” actually means. The answer is beautiful, short and sweet. Arabic is a rich language. The royal we is a noun. The use of the royal “we” in the Quran, refers to the Almighty using the pronoun “We”, it is to call our attention to the honour and exaltation that He deserves. And at the end of the day, the translation will always be the translation and the Arabic equivalent of the royal “we” - wherever it is found in the Quran- is chosen by Allah (The Most High) to refer to Himself. One can only imagine how majestic this noun is in Arabic, if God has chosen it to refer to himself.
