I remember sitting there in the first row, being absolutely STUNNED the whole time, I've been a HUGE Taeyeon fan for the past few years and to actually see her sing live??? Right in front of my eyes?? It was an unreal experience like I remember her and the team walking up that park, about to take their seats and I was like "TAEYEON!!" and waving at her like crazy 😭 and she turned around, looked me straight in the eyes and was like "Hiii" and waved back... man best day of my life.. and again, she sounded so good and looked so BEAUTIFUL!! I could go on and on but lemme stop here

As an Adele fan myself, I can say that she's sooo good at making a song her own. Sounds nothing like Adele's version, she sounds so unique. I especially love the "we were" part, she really owns the song there's nothing to say

I feel the opposite. When I heard Adele's version, I thought it was pretty good. Then I hear this version, it's not bad but too plain. There are a lot of good singers can sing like her but not like Adele. i realized Adele's voice really really made this song stands out.

@@StanChunghaOrGoHomeIt takes away from the performance, you end up being so focused on recording you miss the true beauty of the performance. A feelings will always be better than a recording. Us who watched this on youtube only felt a bit of what the others felt in real time.

This is one of the reasons why SM has the best vocalists in Kpop. They aren't fluent in speaking other languages but they could truly understand the song no matter what language and conveys a lot of emotion through their voices, making the fans fall in love with them.

@@noin4223 It's already a given since it shows the technicality and skills portrayed in their voices. For sure they're talented and worked so hard for them to be able to hone their skills. I just gave emphasis on the way they portray the emotions in the song because of the difference in language, as one of the reasons hence having the best vocals in Kpop.

my sister passed away last year and this is one of the songs she loved to sing. listening to Taeyeon's version brings me to tears everytime and always reminds me of my sis. I come back and listen to this when I miss her

This is why they are very confident to bring taeyeon in foreign countries and perform in a crowd of strangers. She can both rock in Korea and other countries. This what a real performer is.

That highnote was so good, my emotions came over me and I started tearing up. Taeyeon is one of a kind, and Adele is such a class act for giving the world such a beautiful song.

14 years of inspiration. 20 years of dedication. 32 years of passion. That little girl who proudly pronounced her dream is now making the world a better place, one song at a time. Utmost respect goes out to this sensational artist, who poured out her heart and followed her path, who braved the elements and ushered in generations of aspired talents, who had achieved so much and still kept pushing to perfect her craft. it’s so difficult hearing her sing because my ears eventually get drowned out by my streaming tears. i can’t stop coming back to this video and her cover of slow motion, they’re my favorite videos on youtube and that will probably never change. i’m so blessed to have lived in the same generation as this woman, she has one of the most amazing voices i’ve ever heard. i grew up being classically trained and watching many operas, but Taeyeon honestly takes the cake in terms of conveying emotions and displaying a story…. i pray to God that i’ll someday see her live.

In my life, there have been very few covers that I've preferred over the original. This is one them. I've listened to Adele's original countless times because I love the song, but Adele has never drawn tears from my eyes. This video does every single time.

Someone said the way Taeyeon singing ballad song like she's been divorced for 7 times, and I totally agree

She is the only vocalist that I love a lot with the nasal sound. I remember when I she was younger she limited nasal noise. Now she uses as much when she intends and it sounds amazing. I can't even imagine how many times she would've practiced singing to combine nasal sound and voice to make balance. A lot, a lot of singers fail that practice as it's really hard and that creates preference to listeners but I would say she overcame that

Ive always known Taeyeon is a great singer, but really, her version of this song here is just sooooo touching and makes my eyes watery right away

The people were in awe, they were all wondering where did this girl come from. Little did they know, they were listening to one of the best vocalists in the world, she is amazing! It's funny how little people on this side of the world, know about people on that side of the world.

i don't cry that easily but whenever I'm fully emotionally exhausted and to numb to cry, I always go back here to bring out my suppressed emotions and not just cry but sobbed. She really delivered every lyrics and makes you relate to every word and sentence. every time she gets to the part "we are sad of getting old, I'm so mad of getting old" parts it just hits you.

My bucket list includes seeing Taeyeon singing in person and in concert.

Sometimes its not the songs that make you cry, you cry because of the performer is showing us he/she has been walking from a long way to where he/she is right now.

Taeyeon really sings so good. It was like she's telling a story and later on we'll be crying coz we really feel the story that she's been telling us thru singing it.

I'm not a fan of her and also to SNSD, but I think she is the pride of her group. Taeyeon has a powerful voice. 💖👏

Idk how many times I comeback here.. and every I came back, I cried..

Her voice kept you in the song. It is like a world that we couldn't get out. Her every note strips down the wall that you are holding up so well. Eventually at the last verse, you are defenceless and vulnerable. That's where she hit you with the high note and tears your emotions down. Well this felt like a movie but it was just a song sang by our beloved leader.

the song was originally sad but taeyeon made it even sadder now im crying

This made me think how nervous Taeyeon might be during this performance. It's one thing to entertain people who are your fans vs doing it infront of strangers who will judge you only based on vocal performance. That being said, omg her high notes, ilove them so much

it's insane how well she portrays emotions when she sings, I was sobbing the entire time

That couple at the last who hugged each other listening her song shows how much emotions she put in the song 💜

a song that is heard not only by our ears but by our body and soul. the way she sings, man, that's the voice of heaven

imagine seeing THE QUEEN, THE LEGEND herself and having no idea who she actually is. Taeyeon is so beautiful and talented!

Why do I remember the 9 members together happily in their youth? Why does Taeyeon singing make me remember those kinds of things?
