(As seen in the scene where he throws the vase at her and the scene where the paparazzi are harassing her and her instead walks by ignoring). The rose being thrown from the admiring crowd is the only admiration that she gets and it is very artificial and not the kind she wants, which is why the roses cuts her... it's just a metaphor for how something that's meant to be beautiful instead hurts her, just like the relationship.

The thing that I love about Taeyeon is that she never follows the trend, but she made the trend. Her songs are always amazing, and her lyrics always have a deeper meaning to them. It's just really emotional when you really dive deeper to the song, especially her relatable lyrics.

This is my interpretation of the MV: Taeyeon and that guy are actors but they are also lovers (maybe ex-lovers) in reality. Taeyeon loves him but he just ignore her and being indifferent. However, they have to act like a sweet couple on stage which makes Taeyeon feels really upset. Taeyeon in blonde is probably the REAL HER so at the end she no longer wears the wig and "can't control herself" to show her love and hate towards the guy on stage. Sadly, the audience didn't realize her real emotion but thought it's an improvisation. The compliments and roses given by the audiences hurt Taeyeon as she realizes NO ONE CARES about her feeling, they just want to be entertained. If you relate the message of the MV to Taeyeon's story, you'll feel the pain inside her voice...TT

What I understood in the MV is that they are musical actors but Taeyeon is inlove with the guy but the guy only sees Taeyeon's love as part of the musical act. You can notice at the end of the MV that Taeyeon was furious of him because he cannot understand that Taeyeon was not acting for the musical but is showing her true feelings towards him. You can see the guy smiling and laughing while Taeyeon was all crying and screaming. And the audience was so blind of the musical that they thought it was all part of the musical act and was very excellent that they gave them a standing ovation and threw roses to them. That's where Taeyeon got her bruises.
