Taekwondo Sparring One Step: Example 1
Here is one example of one step sparring. It is an example which uses an Elbow lock to break the arm of the mid-section, and then a jump turning kick to finish.
Tae kwon do one step techniques can be very useful as they are very quick, very aggressive, and efficient at taking out to the opponent very quickly

Thanks I'm glad to hear it! Personally, after many years of training, 1 step can be an extremely valuable exercise in developing excellent reflexes, timing, accuracy and indeed techniques to be used in a real-life situation. It may seem a little bit 'fixed' during the prep and performance, but then when you get very competent at it, the skills will absolutely transfer into a real situation. 1 Step is aimed to develop: "Focus, Distance and Timing" which is the very best practice for real life

I know what you're saying, but in reality we're training reflexes with effective responses, so after sufficient practice it really doesnt matter what the attack is, the response will be effective after years of training

Did you stop posting examples in 2013 ? Pity. With one step the defensive move needs to be repeated, mirror'd. Any thoughts on how to build out a set of six that have mirrors, I'm finding the mirroring a challenge.
