I will wait a bit until the bargain bin. 50 dollars for a game released in the 90s and remade in 2010 and they are remastering that. 20 dollars tops I feel.

An actually good tips video with your own gameplay. Much better than a certain large channel...thank you this deserves more views

Thank you! Some things have changed from Reborn but generally they hold up not just for Tactics Ogre but most in the same genre.

TIP 1: Don't torture yourself trying to complete the game, just finish it. The "New Game +"(Wheel of Fortune) will let you go back and get anything missed. TIP 2: Get Canopus(and another Hawkman maybe) the Tame(Recruit Dragon) and Draconology, and level them up(attacking and trying to recruit Dragons): You'll need dragons as a part of a long sidequest of getting certain materials. PS: I hope Reborn will simplify THAT side quest even easier than One Vision.

CHEATING!!!! Hahahaha!! Classic, Jase. This game is incredible. That learning curve was a bit much, but so worth it. Everyone seems excited for the new release. The 16bit original isn't that bad though. I'm looking forward to more Tactics Ogre videos! Thanks for the awesome tips!

Lol all the inspiration from your streams! It is. A lot of these tips mostly apply to the PSP remake and the upcoming remaster of it though. I think the best characters video is something for you though lol. And thanks! I have several more I want to do before I go back full time with Final Fantasy Tactics.

16-bit original?! I know Final Fantasy Tactics came out on the Super Famicom in Japan before being ported over to the Playstation in 1995. However, I thought Tactics Ogre was a Playstation *32-bit exclusive that was brought back for the PSP, then to the PS5, PS4, and Switch.

FYI: Several members of the dev team (on the original, the PSP remake, and this remaster) have worked on great titles such as FF Tactics, FF XII, FF XIV and even on the upcoming FFXVI. So quality is definitely asured!

It's good for the most part but union levels, some of the voice acting and etc. I just wish there was Ogre Battle 8

Here also a crucial tip imo: Keep an eye on your class change cards. One mistake I've made is changing Canopus into an archer and not being about to change him back to his base class.

@@chaoticchill8744 Yeah archers help get through this game for sure lol. I don't want to restart because I put in so many hours into my current save file. And Reborn doesn't seem like it has new content at all. And lazy upscaling of the art and graphics.

@@J7Jase Very true. I beat the main story but never got around to getting into the post game like I wanted but honestly I'm just looking for some quality of like changes...like being able to craft more that one thing at a time--or at least skip the pot animation lol

@@chaoticchill8744 After messing up and deleting a save file after I moved my folders I just took advantage of the fast forward feature and cheats since I did so much. Still look a lot of time but made up for my hours lost on my save file.

I haven't played Tactics Ogre in...since the 1990's. I just got back from GameStop, installed my game and I'm ready for a little refresher course.

It changed quite a bit with extra content, reworked mechanics, quality of life features and so on. But if you did well at the original release you should be fine 👍

@@J7Jase I did do fairly well but found myself playing it like Final Fantasy Tactics and having issues towards mid to end game. Once I started experimenting with items things sort of worked out. Now, I am doing great because your channel jogged some of the cobwebs out. One thing I don't remember that the Reborn version has is a level cap that's tied to your class. Right now I am locked at level 3 and I don't like it.

@@Sinn0100 Thank you and yeah that is one bad thing about Reborn. Not to mention some of the voice acting too lol. Two handed sword got better in Reborn but you will also be slower because of the weight factor too. Keep that in mind.

I have a question do you sugsest to train like 10 main or train everyone you get (i have never played this game i know in triangle strategy most maps reqyire you to have only 8 of your units and un fe3houses 10 units)

10-12 main depending on the battle especially in Reborn as other ports besides the PSP remake as individual character levels are in those.

I won't be playing the remaster of Tactics Ogre for awhile after it got release but I am currently playing the game right now. What bothers me is I kinda feel lost and also annoyed by guest ally. Anyways, glad that a guide suddenly pop up on youtube.

I honestly wouldn't. It is a remaster of a remake and Square is charging 50 dollars plus tax for it. The guests can be annoying at times but they aren't so bad I feel at least on the PSP remake.

Tactics Ogre Reborn released today. I am here since it's my first time ever playing. I got hit with the Dorter Trade City Reality Check at the Necromancer level which is only like 3 areas away, so I needed to watch this vid instead of quitting haha Also...DID I JUST SEE YOU USE KING DELITA WITH A CHAOS BLADE AND DIVINE KNIGHT SKILL? It is the game is still fantastic though and one of the GOATS for this genre.

How many units should we focused? In final fantasy tactics, we only using 5 units including Ramza, in this game there are 12 whole units, should we focused on all 12, or just 5-6 units?

Battles can vary but definitely 12. And of course a little more effort and time with your main character.

@@J7Jase I see, BTW, grinding your level is probably not a good idea in this game right? Since all the enemies in this game will have the same scale of level as you, unlike FF tactics where the story enemies level stay the same (I got my shit rocked by the high level monsters though, especially the dark/purple and red chocobos. Those fking birds give me PTSD.)

@@frog6054 Grinding is fine first playthrough. Superior skills and how you build your characters will be great. No random battles in Reborn too.

The way about the jobs levels being for all your party instead of a specific character was so strange.

Are you asking about the Templars of Lodis? iirc you can't recruit them. The only Dark Knight you can recruit is Ozma through Law Route.

The first few fights you only control Denam in all versions of the game.

Number #4 Chariot Tarot have to be the best game changer for any rpg. The many issues revolving about Tactic ogre I can say about this game , it's so painfully boring I had to skip dialogue and use the easy way just to bypass hours of tormented reading...sorry for the low blow but I just want to get to the point and battles. Good game , graphics average , wasn't expecting the corresponding dialogue to get a good game story but I'm just terrible at those kind of options without researching . The game is good but this was just my first time experience with tactics ogre and I apologize that you'll angry with my opinions.

You're fine man. Some people will play a game for its gameplay, some just for story, mix of both etc. We can like what we like. I think this game has fantastic story and play it for a bit of everything although the grinding can be a pain. I love the gameplay for Metal Gear Solid 5 but the story wasn't the best for me.

Yeah they should have kept random battles and no level cap. Seems like they were catering it more towards tactics ogre veterans instead of newcomers

This game soo boring, better to implement emblem feature like tactic ogre knight of lodis. I think lodis more fun
