It's about time the "Meyers" method got its debut. I plugged that into my low light student handout since last year.

Why do I feel that this technique depends on having a "flashlight with a rubber ring in the center"?

I'm always wanting to improve as a shooter but having my left hand that close to slide seems like it could get cut or pinched. I must be missing something.

Very good...I was focused on the way he could change magazines with the flashlight still in his hand. Still, in-coming rounds will be directed toward your light so several options should be utilized. I have used the "Uncle Ted Flashlight Method"--where I place the light in my mouth and activate the light with my tongue. I did this method in real life and it works. Yes, they teased me at an advanced night shooting class but the bottom line--it does have merit...your mouth becomes a 3rd hand. Sames Instinctive Shooting School

Jim, I think you are setting a dangerous precedent. Especially with people who are new to guns have not been trained in the use of a flash light in one hand and a gun in the other. .

I think we need a better illustration of the ball and socket technique with common mistakes explained.
