Спорт

In this video, retired Navy SEAL, Mark "Coch" Cochiolo, demonstrates low light shooting techniques he uses both with a weapon-mounted light and a handheld light to use in a defensive situation.
It's vital to positively identify your target, and Coch demonstrates various techniques to do so while making sure you are safe and do not take direct fire from a criminal.

Good video glad to see after flash you move to your right as most responses as you mentioned will be at the light and to the shooters right. You also mention high tight low ready also referred to as the Sul position. Flashing good point as not doing so gives your position away as well as diminishes your night vision. As you also mentioned ID your target and the threat. Very good point finger off the trigger to prevent a startle effect and shooting.

Excellent training info. - this is as valuable info. as there is, this is spot-on training that I have seen that is all-but ALWAYS overlooked & under-rated for life-saving tactics imo. Thanks fer sharing !!....Coch knows his shtuff. 2 questions, what holster do you have there ? & do you ever compete in any civilian comps. for enjoyment & or teach/train civilians?

Train with what you have. Don't chase technology to train with. Technology changes fast. Like ALL martial arts, master the basics. 10thSFGA 18B/18D.

A lot of great stuff, but training to use a weapon mounted light to identify an unknown object or person seems like a poor decision and difficult to defend in court. Also a good way to shoot a loved accidentally. Like having a hunter identify another hunter by looking at him through his rifle scope.

I left when SUL was called, "Modified Low Ready" and that the pistol could still be used to bash someone with. Lolz

The guy who shot his daughter in the hallway (she came home one night early, left the hall light off), and the imbecile who killed his fiance because he Assumed that she would not go into the garage late at night should have turned on a hall light and called out " Is that you **** ?". Plenty of guys will shoot first Assuming that no family member is ever out of their original plan, or routine.
