@Romeo Tene "ask yourself how many people...", *Well, i'd say whatever that proportion is, (say, whatever, 10%), it's probably THE SAME proportion for both Toyota owners & Ford owners.* Notice that Ford sells WAY MORE pickup trucks in the US (since people are suckers for gimmicks) than Toyota, which begs the question: If there are Toyota pickups doing 1M miles, then why don't you see WAY MORE Ford pickups achieving 1M miles? See my point? The fact that you don't see that from Ford, in spite of selling more pickups to begin with, speaks volumes about Ford (and it's not good).

He opted to change the engine at 880,000 miles because his local shops did not want to guarantee the head gasket repairs on an engine with such high mileage. He got a used engine from a scrap yard and now the truck has about 1.4 million miles. This means the second engine has done over 500,000 miles in his truck in addition to whatever mileage it had on it originally.

Sometimes when I look up information about planet earth, it feels very scripted or planned. I feel like we are extremely lucky to be where we are right now. Jupiter literately protects us along with the other gas giants from objects in space and with all the other shit out there, we seem unaffected, a moon in the right place and just far enough away from the sun. On a more terrestrial viewpoint, its way to easy for organized crime to happen, suffering is normal and its hard for the good guy to get anywhere. Humanity should be Thousands of years more advanced than we are but its like we are being held back. Maybe for good reason.

I have the v6 6 speed transmission with 180k, I've put roughly 2k$ into it since I got it 4 years ago. I haven't had any huge issues. The rear-end has the original suspension, I changed the front because one of the struts snapped in half due to rot, they were Bilsteins too, but I replaced them with Suncores.. cause I'm cheap.. I put an exedy stage 2 pro clutch kit in it because I didn't want to ever worry about that going. I did the brakes (pads, rotors, calipers, etc), and that's it. Now I just do regular oil changes every 3 to 4k miles, just regular maintenance. I also live in Mass where they salt the hell out of the roads... I wash my truck every 2 weeks, I have it undercoated every year with Fluid Film. Hands down best truck I've ever owned. I've had dodge, chevy, gmc, Mitsubishi, Honda, Ford... Toyota is by far the best I've ever owned, the reliability is unmatched.

Most vehicles start to fall apart after 100,000 but a Toyota will literally run forever with proper maintenance. I used to have an 85 4x4 pickup with 440k miles, a 85 4Runner with 489k, a 87 Hi-lux with 411k, a 99 4Runner with 260k, and a 00 Camry with 400k and every one of them still ran when I sold them and all of them were trouble free except for basic maintenance (brakes, tires, oil changes, tune ups, etc). I now have a 2011 Toyota FJ with a little over 130k, and I have a feeling it's going to be with me for a loooooong time 😃👍

I bought a Toyota pickup in Raleigh years ago, it had 167,000 when I bought it for $1000. When it got 285,000 miles on it, I sold it to my dad for $200. He sold it when it got 375,000 miles on it, for $500. As far as I know, the truck has over a 1/2 million miles on it and is STILL ROLLING STRONG. General Schwarzkopf was asked what he thought of the new US Army Tanks, he said "Pure Toyota." I've had three Toyotas, my next SUV will be a Toyota. Edit: Motor in my truck was original, never rebuilt.
