My dad died of cancer 5 years ago and he left me his 2000 Toyota 4Runner. I didn’t really have much use for it but I kept it as a second car for sentimental reasons. He took such great care of it and I’ve also kept it in top condition. It only has about 100,000 miles and it doesn’t even have a scratch. Interior looks brand new too. Reminds me of my dad whenever I get behind the wheel. I’m a Toyota convert and will only buy Toyotas

Very touching video. I drive my Fathers 2000 Tacoma Pre runner. He passed recently this Father’s Day. It has over 259,000 miles on it. I’m going to keep running for a long time. Miss you Dad! RIP Mike 🙏🏽
This video is more than just about a truck; it's about the extraordinary bond between a man and his machine, a testament to Mike's incredible journey and a symbol of human resilience. The 1.6 million-mile Tacoma isn't just a feat of engineering; it's a chronicle etched in every mile, every dent, and every repaired part, each contributing to a legacy that transcends automotive history. It's only fitting that it finds a home in a showroom, but in truth, it holds a place in the hearts of everyone who heard its story. The Tacoma is a material testament to an immeasurable spirit - Mike's spirit. Let's keep his memory alive by sharing this story, inspiring future generations to value simplicity, longevity, and genuine human connections. RIP Mike, you've left tracks on this world far beyond the miles on your odometer.

It is amazing to hear that you stayed in contact with Mike over a decade after you sold the truck. It is so rare to see that kind of beautiful interaction between people nowadays. Thank you for recording the journey for Mike's legacy. What a story of a good man with his truck. Rest in peace, Mike. You will be remembered.
This story is so amazing. The fact it ended up where it started and you two kept in touch all those years is great. RIP to Mike as he was an incredible and caring person.

Very nice to see Fred Anderson Toyota honor him and his Tacoma. Next time I’m in North Carolina I will stop by to see the Tacoma.
Wow! I just happened to see this & clicked on it. RIP Mike, what an awesome story! I bought a 05 new in October of 04. I loved that truck. It was destroyed in August 2022 in multiple car pile up in Richmond Virginia. It had 297, 862 miles. In the 18 years I owned it, it only needed a fuel pump at 270,000 is. It was a Silver Prerunner. It was literally like burying a family member. One of the best over built trucks ever made.
What a great video my dad drives a 07 Tacoma SR5 and it has over 250000 miles still going strong

He was such a calm, compassionate and humble soul. He must've been a loving husband and a great father (if he had kids). So sad that he died from the same sickness he had been fighting against. This is such a touching video. Something completely different and it had highs and lows and some really touching moment! May his soul rest in peace 🌷
I have an 07' Scion Tc with 200,000 miles. It's an icebox in the summer, and I've NEVER been stuck in snow of any kind, and we live in Massachusetts. I have confidence, that it will last 500,000 miles, because I've changed the oil every 3,000 miles since it's purchase, and it still has very strong torque. There's some rust, and it's dirty, but I wouldn't trade it for any other automobile. So far the only repairs, have been a steering column, that went bad the first 6 months, which was covered for a $50 deductible on the warranty, and an alternator, that's it
I remember seeing the 800k mile video you posted. Rest in peace Mike! 😇
Been following Mike since the first video. Jeff, thanks for making this. You're a good dude. RIP Mike! One hell of a truck!

Rest well Mike. What an incredibile story from a great Man. My heart goes out to his family & loved ones.
Love this story, I remember watching the first video and thought, I wish I could afford one. Well I got out of debt and saved the money to buy one in cash. I bought a used 2021 Tacoma SR5 with 36000 miles and I’m praying I get at least half of what Mike got on his. Rest In Peace Mike.
Mike was a sweet soul. God bless him and his family. He’s with Susie now. 💗🙏🏼 👼
The only thing better than that Tacoma, was the man driving it! This is your best video Jeff.
Toyota Corp should give his wife whatever new car she wants.
I'm a Toyota Hilux owner since 2004. My first truck went up to 800K kms before I decided on a new vehicle so I sold it. It was probably one of the worst thought out decisions I had ever made. I redeemed myself and bought a new Hilux 3 years ago. My point is Toyota trucks or pickups as they're known in my part of the world will last ages if you take care of them and Mike's Taco here is testament to that.
RIP Mike. It’s rare to see a vehicle survive their owner in this manner. My father and I drive his 2007 Tacoma 4-cyl access cab still, but we only have 160k miles on it. One day, I will have to make a pilgrimage to North Carolina to check this truck out. I’ve driven that Tacoma in all kinds of weather conditions and it has always been a dependable truck. My 2007 Tacoma has been in 4 accidents, none of them my fault, but the engine and trans are still all original.
That Toyota is going to be great on the showroom floor, of why people should purchase a Toyota! Every Toyota dealership across the country, should have a 1 million mile Toyota on the showroom floor for advertising. R.I.P. sir. You did good!
Sorry to hear about your friend passing. He seems like a great guy. I bought a Toyota Tacoma not too long ago. It has over 100k miles on it. I feel now that it’s practically a new vehicle from watching your video. 10:18
This video is special in a few different ways. My sympathies to Mike’s wife and family! I can relate to Mike being adopted as I was at a month of age. I will always stand for Toyota and their Quality! Really appreciate you sharing this Jeff! I lost my Mother to cancer in 2012 so I can definitely sympathize! Always my personal best for you and your family and the dealership! Mark in Iowa.
I just purchased my first 4 cylinder 2023 Tacoma on June 15th. I hope I can make it to 999,999+ miles like Mike did. God bless Mike and God bless Toyota.
I have a 2003 toyota tundra v8 access cab and it has 300,000 miles on it. It's the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It was actually the first vehicle I ever owned. Only big maintenance I have had to do on it is replace the radiators and replace a o2 sensor

I drove an 06 RWD access cab with the 4 cyl and manual for 9 years and it was definitely the most reliable vehicle i have owned. I now own a 15 TRD offroad access cab manual with the v6 and at 170 000kms the throwout bearing is going. My newer truck is much more capable than the RWD 4cyl but is going to cost me more in repairs after a year of ownership than the 4cyl did in 9 years.
