Does it give split results even after deleting the main column? 3. After the all the changes when refresh the data, does all changes take effect to new data automatically?

Pavankumr Alle 1. Source data shouldn’t be modified coz tableau is used only for reporting and reading purpose.

If we have Customer name if you want to Split as First name and last name we can use this Split option.

I don't think so, when you rename the column, this new name is just for Tableau, this change will not affect your Excel, Database, etc.
