Cutting grooves with a dado head

Can you make a video on how to make a Zero Clearance Throat Plate Insert? I have a Ridged Jobsite table saw R4514, and they want $43 dollars for one! I'd like to make a few different inserts. I am very much a newbie, and your videos have been really helpful, so thank you so much for your effort.

I make a list of potential video's and add to it every day. Currently on that list is how to make a zero clearance throat plate. I have already purchased the material to make them and hope to post it soon. Right now my workshop is all pulled apart for cleaning and painting. It may be two weeks before that video could be produced. Thank you for watching and if you want to see other video's or have something you want to learn please let me know. I appreciate the input and love helping people.

Hi. Have you cut thick hardwood with your saw? Any problems?

I have, you have to take several passes, raising the blade each time. I went about an inch and a half at a time. 2 passes for my 3 inch thick slab.
