Table Saw + Miter Saw WORKBENCH Like No Other
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hey Woodworking Enthusiasts! 👋 Welcome to VanIsle Studio! In this video, I'm embarking on a woodworking journey, to enhance my table saw workbench. This time, I'm integrating a flip top miter saw station.
🛠️ Project Overview: I'll guide you through the step-by-step process of dismantling my current workbench, housing the Dewalt 7491RS Table Saw, and modifying it to accommodate both the table saw and the miter saw (Festool Kapex KS 120 REB Sliding Compound Miter Saw). The rotating miter saw shelf design allows you to optimize space and functionality in your workshop.
📜 Woodworking Plans: Just like before, detailed plans for this workbench are available on my Etsy shop. These comprehensive plans, totaling 98 pages, provide a thorough guide for crafting this dual-tool workbench, ensuring your woodworking projects reach new heights. Here is the link if you are interested:
IMPERIAL & METRIC WOODWORKING PLAN - vanislestudiostore.etsy.com
There are two versions of the Imperial plan.
One version of the plan that utilizes regular 2X4's (3 1/2 inches X 1 1/2 inches) that are easily purchased at stores like home depot.
And another version of the plan that utilizes rough cut dimensional lumber, that was planned to a final thickness of 3 5/8 inch X 1 13/16 inch.
👀 What's Next? Whether you're a seasoned woodworker or just starting, this video is packed with tips, tricks, and the satisfaction of creating a versatile and efficient work environment, and just some plain old fun messing around in the shop with a camera and some tools :)

Hey Andrew it's my pleasure and thank you so much! Looking forward to sharing more in the future with you, Cheers!
In the "middle" of the Workbench build (the plans are truly amazing)... but I'm modifying it heavily to incorporate a planer and jointer and two sections of the table top will be removable (the jointer and planer are on jacks... jointer is on a motorcycle lift and planer is on scissor jack)... the length I'm extending to 11'4" and to compensate for the added weight I'm using 2x6 instead of 2x4 but your plans are pretty darn easy to modify because they are so freaking good to begin with. I say all that so that if someone actually reads this they will know that they should not hesitated for an instant to purchase your plans. THANK YOU!!! for the tremendous amount of work you did on them.

I basically made my table the same with table saw, mitre saw, and even a spot for my bench top band saw. Seeing the flipping mitre saw makes me want to redo mine. Looks way better than taking it off, setting it on the bottom shelf and screwing a piece of plywood down to fill the hole. Very nice 🤘🏼

Using a spiral downcut or compression bit would probably also help a lot with preventing the tearout, since it applies cutting pressure at an angle across the grain instead of flat into the ends of the fibers.

Hey Patrick! I think I just sent you an email bud! So awesome to hear and thank you for your purchase! Hey, To save space on the rotating shelf that's in the bench, I removed the cord holder that's at the rear of the Festool. (I think you mentioned you have the same tools) It's a big chunky plastic piece held on by a few screws. Its only purpose is to wrap up the electrical cord. It would have taken a few more inches of real estate away from the workbench surface, so I just unscrewed it and put it in a drawer. Just wanted to let you know, and as I'm typing this, I'm already realizing ill be adding this text to my plan. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help. Thanks again Patrick!! All the best to you, Paul
Wow Paul! Fellow Canadian here (...wish I lived on the West Coast). I have a 50 year old school pencil sharpener in my shop. I did not think a cooler shop pencil sharpener existed. Just one more thing to make me feel inferior. Thanks buddy😂

I'd still think your 50 year old school pencil sharpener is pretty cool in my books! and your comment made me laugh :) Thanks so much for that and for stopping in, and BTW that pencil sharpener came from my wife's side of the family, from Japan, when they moved here many years ago. Cheers mate! All the best!
