Another little trick I added to the table shortly after building it is that I bought a 4x8 sheet of 1/4 inch MDF and attached it to the top of the table with a few screws in the corners and a few more in the center. Now, whenever I destroy the top I can easily take it off and replace the sheet of MDF and don’t have to replace the whole top. Just a little idea.

That’s a great idea! The only thing I saw was that if the table accidentally got bumped from the bottom it could fall off that ledge I would suggest putting a rabbit in the 2 x 4 cleat on the wall a quarter inch deep so the bottom of the table could not be accidentally bumped & fall downward. Also, curious why did you notch the brace on the legs as opposed to just screwing a 2 x 4 over them

Great video! I just finished my table but had to make some modifications due to space constraints. I made the table 3x6. That also required me to shorten the legs. Using a 2" caster (3" total height), I cut the legs to 27 1/4". That yielded 31" from the floor to table top. A few other twists to the plans that may be helpful to others. First, I rounded the leg tops to exactly a 1 3/4" radius half circle and smoothed out any roughness with a belt sander. Rather than drilling an offset hole in the legs, I centered the hole from each side and from the top of the legs (1 3/4" exactly). Be very precise in measuring though. This twist avoided any guess work that an offset hole would require in the distance from the short top side brace when the legs are closed or the table top. A drill press is ideal for keeping the hole centered and straight. Any minor offset from center can be resolved with additional sanding in places where you notice resistance when closing the legs. Then simply stand the leg square to the table top, clamp it in place and use the leg hole as your guide to drill the hole into the receiving long brace. I went with 3/8"x5.5" hex bolts; longer is fine. The added length (vs 5") allowed me to use three wide washers - inside, outside and between the leg and side brace - plus two nuts separated by a lock washer. The washer between the leg and brace makes it a bit smoother when closing the legs. The two nuts and lock washer avoided any risk of the leg coming loose. The last twists were with the wall mounted support board and table top edge. In the support board, I used a table saw to cut a 1" wide, 3/4" deep channel to receive the table top. That avoided any risk of the table sliding off the support (and smashing my wife's car and potential divorce). Before mounting the board to the wall, I tacked pieces of formica cut about 2" higher than the support (about 5 1/2 to 6" in width). That twist makes it smoother to roll the table up onto and into the support brace. Lastly, I used a 3/8" round-over bit to route the tables top edge. Again, makes it much smoother when rolling the table up. Hope all this is useful to others. Enjoy building your table!! Lets keep the suggestions for improvements coming.

@@ymx777 I used the table as the guide which cut out any guess work. Rolled it up against the wall, put painters tape on the wall, then mark the entire length where the bottom of the table meets the wall. I attached the ledger about 1/4 inch lower to allow for any expansion due to heat/humidity. Down in FL it does get a bit hot and wet in the summer.

(that includes the stretcher that keeps the legs from buckling, the frame, the doubles legs and the piece at the top of the legs to stop them opening at 90 degrees.) The top is a piece of 3/4 inch plywood 4x8 sheet. The legs also have one 1x4 at 8 feet for the bottom part of the legs. That is the piece that the stretcher attaches to. Then get some casters and some carriage bolts with nuts to attach the folding legs. Good luck!
