    One day here I plan on buying another T97 and putting both the FTU upper and lower on it, I want to see if it is a game changer like some people are saying. Fun rifles, like the SKS of bulllpups.

    I'd say it's absolutely a game changer. Fixes the safety and adds lots of options for accessories, and custom grips... While adding a conventional safety location. I have two of them both with the FTU and LHG.

    How does the new safety interface with the trigger/trigger bar? Wondering if it’s possible to rig something up on the og lhg

  • @bonoandlavin
    @bonoandlavin7 жыл бұрын

    My sole interest in the lower is the trigger improvement. Is there really any significant improvement for this upgrade? I can live with the safety in the original weird spot as I will only use it in the range for targets anyway.

  • @shawnc1936

    Kin B Fung it's a shorter pull, enough for the striker to release, and not a lot extra like the factory one. The trigger has a lighter spring but the striker spring is left alone. So the pull is only slightly lighter overall.

    Does the LHG permit use of m-lok fore grips, such as the magpul m-lok angled fore grip? Or will I have to use a picatinny fore grip and use a mount. Because those 4 holes in the bottom/side of the rifle dont quite look the same dimentions as standard m-lok.

    Jesse Roberts trigger stop safety switch on the side of the lower. Similar to an AR15. Just leave the rear safety on fire always and only use the new lower safety.

    Jesse Roberts ohhh. The little safety button plastic piece can be removed and they include a aluminum extended larger button, I don't like it or use it because it doesn't improve much for me and just sticks out the side of the rifle more.

    @@shawnc1936 Thanks mate. While I have your attention. On the website they also say something about mag release button replacement, but I don't see anything on the pics or this vid. Also, does that picatinny rail on the bottom comes as one piece with the LHG or there is a m-lok/keymod under it? I.e. can I take it off?

  • @shawnc1936

    @shawnc1936

    Kekservative Mag button is just a larger one but sticks out. It comes with it, The rail is a separate piece you buy and it comes off. It’s their own design and comes off. Just bolts into slots on the bottom. Same ones on the side of the upper.

    Or search ergo if you want the swift grip. I measured a few and it gives the most room between the magazine. I have one ergo LHG and one with a Magpul Moe-k. The hogue overmould is only like 5/8" away from the mag.
