T7 | STEVE - S3 POKING TIPS,TRICKS & TECH

I haven't done a tips guide in a long time so i decided to drop another one featuring another of my mains Steve. Now Steve is one of the more wide and difficult characters to play and that's why he's guide is a bit longer so i apologize. I had to cut out a few things like the okizeme section just because i didn't want the video to be too long.So i hope you guys enjoy some of the knowledge on poking i have on this character :)

  • @GamerNemy

    @GamerNemy

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thank you Bro!To deal with that,in my experience you have to be a little bit more patient, try to be defensive and play to the clock. Steve has a very painful WS12 punish so if you start blocking and punishing their high crush lows they'll eventually stop. So be patient and defensive

    Am I supposed to hit lots of CH in a match? I'm at red ranks and I rarely hit b1 CH succesfully, so I just play with pokes and I use PKB A LOT, do I need to practice more the b1? I hit it like twice in a match ps: thx for finishing the minutes marks

  • @GamerNemy

    @GamerNemy

    3 жыл бұрын

    The thing about Steve is that because he's sooo good and popular alot of people know the matchup and tend to not be very aggressive when facing him. They usually use alot of low pokes and high crushing mids. Red Ranks has decent players so do not fret when you're not landing alot of b1s..B1 is NOT the core of Steve's gameplay. Using pokes and Peekaboo is exactly what you're supposed to do against a defensive opponent so that's good on you. On my tips on b1 i do say that's its very situational, know when to use it by reading your opponent and do not just spam it because that's not the best way to get the most value out of it.

    I started Tekken a little more than a year ago and I started with Steve lol. I ended up dropping him after like 200 hours cuz he was just too complicated and my fundamentals were such shit. Now I'm back with solid fundamentals to play him again lol. Playing him now its no wonder I found it frustrating cuz he is incredibly complicated. But I still have the muscle memory for all his hard combos which is one of the hardest parts of playing him so that at least I dont have to worry about.

    @@sungodd- yah legit, you need good ass movement especially for B1 fishing. And his combos are infamously difficult if you want to staple Gatling Gun. And don't even get me started on CH df2 Shiro combo, that is probably the hardest combo in the game imo. I still can't land that shit lol, and all my mains are all high execution characters. When you say stale do you mean like a turtle?More defensive or not very aggressive playstyle? The thing about Steve is that he can be utilized in many different ways. You can be super aggressive with Peekaboo and duck cancel pressure or very defensive (like Knee) with a few pokes only with b1/df2 keep out and play to the clock. Remember that Steve is one of the most difficult characters in the game to learn and master so at first you might not get the hang of him. But as you keep playing trust me overtime you will vibe with him. If you love the character,play the character and trust me you will not regret it👊
