Thanks for making another vid Steve. We need as much T6 content as possible at the moment. I've got V1s on my van which I prefer as they are closer to the factory VW LED lights than the V2 and V3 in terms of functionality. Stay back. (sorry, safe).

Hi Steve, You're a big fan of Transporter and your videos are progressing to a higher level. Very good job, man! You can see, that you will spend a lot of time preparing your videos.... james bliss Hi James, yes the Indicator on the V2 is definitely brighter in daylight than the V3. It also has a completely different look (more 80’s style flash) which I personally really like and I’m pleased that Transporter HQ will continue to offer all three versions for sale. I have my version 2’s back in now 👌

One last thing I was however impressed with their LED bulbs that I have in the v3s and im assuming they will be just as good in the v2?

james bliss they are the best at THQ👍. Great team, great customer service and everybody is very knowledgable 🙌. No 1 for me. And yes those H7’s in you new V2’s will be absolutely spot on👌. The headlamp beam and pattern will be the same as was in the V3. It’s just the indicators.

Notice you have gone back to v2. Cant lie I prefer the v2 look. Why did you go back? ive just ordered v2's as I much prefer, they sent all black v3's by mistake, but hats off to Leighton Vans, customer service superb, instantly sourced me v2's which they no longer supply ( their old ebay advert ) and are collecting the v3s.

Yes I did... I didn't keep them on long because I found the indicators to be far brighter on the V2's and they look much more OEM . I prefer the way the V2 indicator looks to be honest so Transporter HQ were legends and collected them to put onto one of there own demos. Its great to hear the customer service is up there with Leighton Vans too. 👍

Another great vid Steve. Can you program the main and dipped to both be on together?

lou cancellara thanks again 🙏😊. Yes you can! If you have THQ fit your lights they’ll do it for you I believe but if your fitting them yourself you just need a vag-com and they supply the instructions how to program it with the lights. 👍

Cannot wait to see the t6 back on some nice wheels Steve, now the air ride is calibrated could you have not left the vossens on and set it at a reasonable height? Keep up the great work

Thanks Adam 👍 yes in theory I could put the wheels on but if the system were to do anything it would do some irreversible damage so not going to risk it. The fact that it’s still new and not really been well tested due to this lockdown, I am not taking any chances.🤓. Plus the Vossens have already been sold now. I only have the stock wheels and the Cades until the new Vossens arrive. 🤙

Hi Steve, great video as usual. Given that youve had time to fully test the headlight versions out, whats your ideal version and bulb set up to go for? Ive got the standard H4 candle versions with nightbreaker bulbs (that do very little imo). Ive got to sort these out and cant keep putting it off! Thanks for all your videos.

My No 1 set up now which I have been driving for a while now is the HQ version 2 headlamp with the HQ H7 Led lamp in the dipped headlight and the H1 led in the main beam. This has dramatically improved the country roads the only thing is you need to have the main beam warning light coded out by Vagcom otherwise it will keep consign on when you hit your high beam.

Love the video and your van looks awesome! Can I ask will these lights pass MOT if a direct replacement for halogen (standard) version given there are no washer jets installed? Thanks

Hi Mark, Thank you☺️🙌. They will pass an Mot but this is because the LED dipped headlamp bulb that I have installed is not visible to the front, the prism lens covers them so they are not identifiable and in almost all cases pass the MOT test. If they were failed for any reason, a standard halogen bulb could be put in so that it would then be ok as appears to the unit being useless. My Vehicle was MOT’d at the main dealer in September and passed with no advisories. Hope this helps👍

Hi Richy, Sorry I've only just noticed your question.... I have reverted back to my V2's now! if you check some more of the Van videos uploaded since you will see.. they still sell both versions but I guess when you were looking they might have been out of stock maybe.

They look awesome Steve. Apologies for the silly questions but are there LED upgrade bulbs for both main and high beam .. Are there side light bulbs with the unit also ? I do think the DRL light strip is diffused a lot better on these than on the v2s .. Also have you seen the new OEM T6.1 rear LED lights that fit on your van ? Great vid !

Thanks buddy :-) Currently only the H7 LED Lamp for the dipped beam THQ are working on the main beam LED but its not available yet. Keep an eye on my channel as I will have a set as soon as they become available. You dont need a side light buld as the DRL strip acts as this. see my previous DRL video where i explain in more detail ....kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJiYo8SsmKXclZc.html I have seen the 6.1 rear light MOD looks great! :-)

Good video, like the latest version from THQ but drl looks a little aftermarket for me so gone for oem LED units. But they do look so good being dark behind the lens. Really nice and good price

@@SteveField hi. Got one headlight for 110 quid used & damaged I repaired, other one brand new 600 plus led modules 240 all 4. Then wiring / coding. I have yet to fit levelling or range control. Both mot failures but I am doing that at the min. Levelling cannot be checked anyway. I do really like the ones you have tho and wonder if I done right thing :/

I just decided to switch back to my V2s as I prefer the way the indicators look.

I love these lights on my van and they look super cool. However the van failed it's MOT due to them not being self levelling and the beams way out of adjustment. Any ideas other than swappingnout bulbs?

Hi Buddy apologies for late reply, been offline.... the lamps can be adjusted to set the beam as per the standard ones if they are out?. you can set up next to a wall on with van levelled and adjust, or a garage will do it. other than that if you are running the LED headlamp you can turn the lamp in the back of the headlight which will change the light beam. hopefully this helps but if not then visit the Transporter HQ channel as they have some great videos on these headlamps abd demonstrate how to adjust the light beam etc.. 👍

Have you fitted LED h1 bulbs to the main beam? if so, Im currently doing it now, did you remove the connector tab inside the housing and fit that directly to the new bulb connector? or did you pop it off and join the spare cable up instead?

Just went out, all good, coded high beam error off, all working perfectly. Lovely headlights, really pleased with how they look. Next up fit my high end coilover kit.

My best recommendation is to opt for Transporter HQ version 2 lights for the brightest units and indicators with the optional H7 LED canbus lamps that the sell @transporterhq on their website transporterhq.co.uk My personal favourite is the black option over the chrome as this looks the most OEM during the day. 👌

Hi buddy, Yes I installed the V3's and ran them for a little while but i prefer the look and function of the V2's the most so they are now back on mine. The V3 is slightly less visible yes, but still a great unit. the milky diffusor does swallow some of the daytime brightness but mainly i think it boils down to personal preference. my vote is the V2 looks the most OEM. hope this helps 👍

Well they work perfectly good on my mk 8 golf gti and dynamic as well the indicators cum drl’s , but as I can read English those bulbs say for off road only so how does the law stand on that lol, having now watched the whole video version 2for me ,may change my mind seeing it in the dark, but not very dynamic in semi daylight just saying keep up the good work, watched every one so far tc

Yes I agree I should have shot a dark demo👍 have to say the dipped headlights with the Transporter HQ led lamps are a massive improvement on the standard headlight but the main beam is no different due to the halogen bulb

ahh damn...I didn't realize there was a choice now as at time of making the video the V3 only had the opaque diffuser.

This video might help. kzread.info/dash/bejne/moCLt5mjm8a1d5s.html We took them for MOT testing, we even told the MOT tester they were LED's and he said its not his job to say if its right or wrong. They're just interested in beam pattern and they would pass any MOT. Yes we aren't legally suppose to fit LED headlight bulbs in the UK but I've never known anyone to ever have an issue and we see and hear about it all. The only way you could tell is was an LED was if you removed it anyway. From the front its hidden by the projector and from the rear the canbus resistor is neat and small and fits inside the housing. I hope this helps.

David Webb as Transporter HQ says and they have a video in their link commenting on it. I can see now installing them the the headlight beam does not dazzle light outside beam and the lamp cannot be seen through these headlights. Hope that helps 👍

Transporter HQ guys the lights are beautiful there’s no doubt about it 👌🏼 But heat shrinking the cables at the back of the lamp would have made a more professional finish and eliminated any chance of cable chafing. Even a little loom tape

There was no sign of any wear. Which ever version you go for you want the H7 LED lamps with them! They make such a difference👍
