Hey Sam, I'm only halfway through the video, so maybe you figured this out already: % damage increase items will make Surtr 1 do even more damage. So you can use runeforged, sunder, ankh etc. to increase it. I'd love to see a video where you get his 1 stacked and then add another ~20% damage on top of it. You could get upgraded beads and basically do two 1,200 damage taps back to back.

If you got Surtr 1 passive to 200 and bought Druids stone you could probably one hit someone with your one by itself.

As a Surtr-fied Surtr enjoyer, I agree that he is neglected. I feel like he would feel better if his 2 and his ult weren’t as “clunky” as they feel. He’s super fun to play but when half his kit feels slow it brings him down

Man your first game you were talking about how bad he is but I’ve been playing him in solo and I’m trash solo and I still can hang with solo laners with how strong he is. Full defense build with top damage in the game. He’s super super strong.

Surtr Really is just Nasus from League. The only issue is there's a lot less farm on the map that you can just go around smacking for stacks, so even though Nasus stacks are infinite and Surtr's aren't it's hard to fully stack Surtr. Cannoneers does seem to make it more likely though which is awesome. Can always swap out cannoneers later in a game when it stops being useful.

@xPandamon on what planet? Surtr can get a max of 1 stack per hit of his 1, Nasus can get up to 12 stacks per 1 and it stacks infinitely. I've seen Nasus 50% squishies late game with his 1 alone while I've never seen a surtr get even close to that if he's building bruiser and sometimes he can't even do that while full damage. So either you're capping or I haven't been watching league right

@@CFallescence No no you misunderstood me, I just meant that while Surtr gets one stack, it is not equal to 1 damage. Both stack similarly, but Nasus can get bonuses from monsters and champs and has no cap of course

Very interesting to me to hear the difference between the levels. At my level, which is admittedly VERY low, warriors, and especially Surtr RUN games in casual. But I also play mostly slash and joust. Interested what high level ranked players do to beat up warriors

Tanks in modes with less players and faster xp and gold gain are usually better. In Conq supports gains gold and exp really slow so they cant powerspike as fast as in other modes. Because buying 40 def is better than 40 power. For example, at 100 physical protections, you take 50% of the sheet damage from that damage type(with that a 2k health now you need 4k damage to kill the guy), where a 100 power only would increase your damage for a set amount that is limited by your abilitie scaling. So tanks just powerspike faster which for low level player is suprising and they get shit on. Remember that hunters are the best counter to tanks and mages and assasins should avoid them, also pen% is better against tanks than just flat pen.

Not sure if Hydra's effects that, but if it does that would be wild.

i honestly have been screaming HYDRAS in my head for the entirety of the tiamat fight.

surtr jungle seems to be doing well in my casual games, at least early to mid game conquest

The problem is games are so long cause powers so low and the maps so big. Season 8 was prime. I’m with Sam I hate the power nerf and made the games so boring. Watching season 7 and 8 spl was way more exciting. Games going 20+ min with no kills is crazy

@tselacky4117 the map isn't big and pro games are generally going to have way less kills on average than casuals and it's not because of power that games go on for 30 minutes it's because comeback mechanics are op

It's only the one minion that you hit. The 1 wouldn't affect any of the minions that took GB damage

No, his one applies a DOT on one enemy, and when the enemy with the DOT dies Surtr gains a stack

I believe when I got to 200 stacks on surtr it did 450 magical damage. Not including the tick damage that followed. However if they somehow buff it without my knowledge then I'm probably wrong

I don't think hydras would be worth it since the damage is based off of the ability damage and not the actual auto attack damage. I think Archdruids would be funnier overall since that's consistent damage.

I feel like items should be more about what you get from them, like their passives and item specific things like cooldown and pen etc and less about the power they have (power items should exist mind you) and base damage should be more important but I'm also not a game dev and am very stupid

New feature called duel orb. Its a buff that drops when you get a kill in duel and if you pick it up then auto a tower it deactivates it for a few seconds

I think hades killed himself in the tower to not give you the revenge kill lol.

Warriors aren't meant to tank a 3 man team worth of damage. They need to play smarter. At least as long as they can 1v1 a damager.

I havent played since the season of souls due to the dumb changes such as the titans fighting solo lane in conq, the dumb ghosts that spawn after you kill an enemy, and the many changes to items and gods that go against what the community wanted. I come back to check on how smite has been since and now there are weird starter items for 1v1?? Just bring back the old items at this point

@@CFallescence anything where you are banking on minion AI to stack for you is not going to be reliably repeatable, all it takes is 1 enemy nearby and your imp will leave the minion to fight the god instead. With the amount of damage on his 1 though, it stacking slow is much preferable anyways, so really this change making almost no difference would be preferable to any other changes to his stacking speed.

200 stacks is way too many for the 1's cooldown. You can't really gain that much if you're playing serious.

I don’t know man, I think you were kinda overblowing it about the latest patch, I think most of the buffs were pretty minor. Most of them were just “same cooldown on all levels instead of scaling down”. And Cupid just got a buff to his 2, and considering he’s like the worst hunter in the game right now, that’s a bit absurd imo
