T-Crazy's 545ci blown alcohol T bucket at Hough H.S. car show

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This week I went to the William Hough H.S. car show with some friends from the Tachtwisters car club and the Carolina T's car club. Ricky Barnette's 69 Camaro won best in class and best in the show. And Will Nash from the Carolina T's also won best in class. Congratulations to both.

That surge is awesome! Who cares about the cost of Fuel when you have a car that looks and runs like that "T". If you do you must drive a Tesla! I'll be 75 this year and I still love the sound. In the Spring of '69 (19 y/o) 2 yrs before Two Lane Black Top, I built a '55 Chevy Gasser. Cut off the front frame, built 2x4 boxes frame. Put a Chrome Straight Axle w/Early Chevy Spindles. Built a 60 over 283 w/ 12.5 pistons w/202's and all radical internals. Uncapped fender well Doug headers, it ran low 13's w/Street Tires. It was hard to keep the front wheels on the ground. The engine would rumble and would surge like the "T" in this video. At 19, I had Street Racers all throughout Northern California trying to track me down for a Street Race. Il Never lost a Street Race. But I'll never forget the memories!! Awesome "T". Now I have a Black & White '56 Bel Air 2dr H/T 350 M21, a Red '57 Bel Air 2dr Sdn 502 Ram Jet w/Rock Crusher, a factory Red on Red factory A/C made into a Clone SS with a 530 hp 468 Turbo 400, 9in 4 wheel Disc Brakes. Yes at my age I'm still doing what I LOVE most. Cost of Fuel doesn't matter to us Gear Heads. I would never consider going Electric!!

Instead of car shows we used to have rod runs where most everyone drove their cars to the event on its own wheels. Rods were less exotic back then but still very nice.
