interesting thing - back when the group was new, their website had an open FTP that anyone could access, there was no password. Along with the raw footage from the infamous 'Yulya masturbation' from simple movements, this song could be found there (with a creepy delay/echo) was the backing to a weird video of a bunch of Russian guys engaging in 'urban exploration' in some abandoned old building. I kind of wish I'd saved all those videos, it was quite a cool find.

I see your point, but really кролик is rabbit and заичик is hare. And in Midwestern American English, bunny can mean either rabbit or hare. In fact, few people here can tell the difference between a rabbit and a hare, and use bunny to mean either interchangeably. :)

It's a wonder to me as to why this song isn't popular among the transgender community. It's so fucking sad and really speaks about the pain and confusion of being transgender. I'm not even transgender and it makes me cry nearly every time I listen to it. It speaks about not feeling like a girl and not being able to be a boy, so they'll just be a squirrel, squirrel is often a metaphor for someone who's crazy. Gah, it's just so heartbreaking.

Yes, I agree with you. I am not a transgender either, but I don't feel confortable with my gender. It caused me a lot of pain when I was a teen. Now I prefer to take my girl mask, now that I am an adult. I don't want to be a boy either. But the song touches me not because of the gender problem, but because I have several mental and personality disorders and sometimes I disassociate really bad and I feel unhuman and lonely. I have never got a clear diagnose. When I feel like that, I listen to this song and think about that person that does not exist and that will never come: The Zaichikom, in whose company I can be the belotchka (crazy person) I really am (including the gender-identity trouble). When I found the song I was on a deep depressive period, and I listened to it every night, crying, until I fell asleep. Now I don't cry, I just feel a little bit sad.

it's not on any album, it was an old demo that Lena recorded before Yulia even joined the group. it was never officially released.

Is anyone here in 2023? I used to be huge Tatu fan around 2006-2007 as a gay teenage girl in the Middle East - Their songs were the only place I could find myself when there was no Netflix, no social media or any mainstream LGBT representation. This demo was one of my favorites actually.
