One Day in Szeged, Hungary: Top Things to See and Do (Just Walking) in One Day
The third largest city in Hungary, Szeged, lies south of the country, near the borders of Serbia and Romania. The city has a long history, dating back to medieval times. Since it was destroyed in the flood in 1879, most Szeged attractions you can enjoy today date to the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The Szeged of today has magnificent buildings, beautiful parks and squares, and is home to one of the best universities in the country. The city centre is a lovely place to walk, with wide pedestrianised streets lined with Neoclassical and Art Nouveau-style buildings. Szeged is also known as the "City of Sunshine" because it has the highest number of sunny days in Hungary. Since Szeged University is one of the most critical higher education institutions in Hungary, you can expect the large student population in the city and everything that comes with it: a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere, numerous cultural events, restaurants, cafes, etc.

@@classicalperformances8777 it does. It's has the most sunny hours in Hungary. That's why they call it the city of sunshine. Sometimes near to 40 Celsius and it only drops to 30ish during the night.

Very nicely done (I am originally from Szeged). Also, it is great to have the English narration and subtitles - one can show it to English friends and family. The English is nearly perfect, but remember: "gymnasium" means "tornaterem" in English. "Gimnázium" was taken from German into Hungarian. The English equivalent is "grammar school". Also, in the bit about the Rákóczi statue - you say "... war of independence ... lead by him ..." If you mean "vezet", the verb is "lead, led, led" (the 2nd and 3rd forms are not "lead". A word meaning "ólom" is indeed written as "lead" and pronounced as "led", confusing, I suppose. Unfortunately, you even pronounce it as "... war of independence LEED by him ..." (it should be LED by him - pronounced as spelt). I really don't mean this as a severe criticism, just something that would make the otherwise excellent and informed commentary faultless. Great video, nice voice otherwise.
