Stephen Pryce my interpretation is that its a place (really state of mind an artist is in when creating) where u are king/queen and unstoppable in your craft.. At one point i remember ppl referring to the mind engaging in a continuous(almost effortless ) form of creativity (like mozart composing or a rapper writing lyrics, etc.) as Flow...i believe she is talking about that place or thats how im choosing to see it. It really is a secret place. Like i remember Michael Jackson being pressed to describe how he comes up with his lyrics. His only response was the heavens. I feel everybody is blessed with some type of talent. Some ppl are naturally great public speakers or naturally gifted with mechanics.. it just clicks and when they are in their element doing their thing is like a secret place in their mind gifted by God. Being able to let somebody in that world is incredibly personal. "Go to church if youre scared", i interpret as when you're in this element u have an invisible cord to the almighty so in that space is like church. not now saying church isnt needed but in that moment u talking to god. like t.d jakes was like when he was a boy he wud go out in the woods in Virginia and just talk to the birds the trees, GOD. what is jakes today. see he gets it too ... i relate to sza like brother to sister when listening to this song.but that how i feel about this song

Same here this was the first song I heard by her when I was in highschool and while I'm happy she's getting more publicity I get annoyed that most people don't know she has even more amazing music under her name than just the Ctrl album. Lol yeah, see, this is how you know who REALLY listens to her. If they say "Uhhhh...... The Weekend or Broken Clocks are my favourite songs," they likely don't listen to her like that. I love both those songs, but if somebody says ICE MOON or CASTLES or Once Upon a High, then you can say "Ok, you know what you're talking about."

2024 i am still here… i like this SZA

I love how she's so playful and earthy, to the point of the surreal. The music feels like it borrows from that era of 80s fantasy synth, the sort of ambient music you'd hear in a kid's adventure movie (think Labyrinth or Goonies), but coupled with this fantastically rich bass. Makes for the most wonderful effect. I'm officially a fan.

Exactly, and I love how doesn't have a stylist of any kind. She dresses and makes up herself. You know she's real.

I think this song is about finding an escape. If you listen (for some reason a lot of people here can't understand what she's saying, but I can), she says "Summertime, Sadness" at the beginning of the song, and that right there should indicate depression, and I think she's asking for some sort of escape. A happy place. Therefore, that indicates the video. It's like she's in a fairy tail, it's as if in the song she was asking for a getaway, and in the video, she's finally found her new limbo. The song also talks about purity, religion beliefs and disbelief's, and obviously, depression and the yearn to feel happy.

This is such a beautiful song. Its a spirtitual song which speaks about purity and finding the beauty within yourself and your soul. And she just wants to escape from everyday life and go to a place and a space where everyone shows their light and beauty. Its really stunning and the video is just that, simple, symbolic, peaceful, beautiful and in my represents that place visually and shows wat shes talking about.
