Crazy how a 53-year-old mans and 3 dudes in their 40’s have been in “hiatus” for nearly 15 years and still sound like they did in their 30’s.

Drop C for the ultimate win. I wonder if they wrote this 12 years ago and for whatever the reason, it didn't make the cut. Now, all this time later, they're like "Hey remember that one song? Let's make a single out of it!" and here we are. That's how seamless this shit seems to me.

hey try this one on for size. i'm 50 and saw them in their first concert appearance in Dallas, Tx so i'll let you figure out how long I've partied with "The System..." The "System Of A Down" Or the flack that they caught from like every church group for singing he "cries, when Angels deserve to die..." Relious groups were like, "did he just say Amgels deserve to die? Oh, well that's causse this band is the Devil's work! This is just Lucifer trying to steal our chidlren!" It was like no stupid Karen, do your homework, duh - it's about self rights to do whatever the HELL we want with our lives, even if it means too die by our own hand. Our own drug. Our own hell. Or whatever I chose to do with it, not you Karen..." It was like damn, don't these Karen types read lyrics or understand what he means, perhaps ask them and find out it is sad song, but yet it's not because it is very liberating to know that even people around you see YOU, ME, HE, SHE, WE, OR ALL OF US - as Angel's... It's just too bad we don't look at each other as ALL beautiful ANGELS IN OUR OWN RIGHTS, BODY'S & MINDS... Nope, not us we dumb ass humans are still arguing over some rock where somebosy ascended from at this exact spot or whatever abrahamic based religion, like DUH, JEWS, CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS ARE ALL FROM ABRAHAM. SO WHY WOULD ANY HOLY WAR EVEN EXIST IF WE ARE BELIEVE IN Abraham? And we Humans think we are even ready to meet another race, species, alien or whatever--- really look down from above, we are an embarrasment to each other species, wtf do you think they would say looking down at us? "ahh, look they are soo cute, loving, warm and helpful to each other- what a wonderful species this planet is, we should go down and say "hi" and meet them... Yeah, right! Maybe someday, after we ALL get together and just be humble & kind to each other. "Humble & KInd" hmm great country song tho.... But then we would have to give up things like "gun powder...' Well, yeah maybe---whatever Rob keep the pipe dream alive.... Nameste, Amen, Amun Ra, thank you, bless you, may Christ be with you, allah akbar... Think about that ending... PS. great Osama track tho and the little kid dancing but he is going to grow up to be a suicide bomber, right! Ahhh, yes--NO not if told the REAL truth...

Bro. This actually is amazing. Listening to system of a down gets old after a while because they have less than 10 albums out so after a while you know all the songs by heart. But this, this is brilliant. Not only is it new, it still has that old SOAD feel to it. Those completely random, yet oddly melodic, riffs is just what I was missing.
