Synthplex 2019 - Rossum Panharmonium
Ғылым және технология
Bob Bliss (architect of the famous Emulator Operating System) shows us the new Panharmonium Module.
Its a a unique music and sound design tool that lets you analyze the spectral content of any audio signal and use that analysis to drive a bank of from 1 to 33 oscillators. Depending on various control settings, Panharmonium can accurately reproduce the input spectrum in real time or modify it in a multitude of wildly creative ways. All with an interface whose immediacy encourages performance and interaction.

If after 40 years you're still coming up with ideas like this - and getting them into production - you are killing it. Congratulations to Bob Bliss and the Rossum folks. Super cool.
You know how long i've been wanting a modernized Technos axcel? Rossum has some of the most amazing modules on the market. I've been drooling over the Morpheus and counting the days until i finally own one.
Really a great video. Rossum and Bob are brilliant I think! ❤🎉👏🏻
Thanks, Bob Bliss, for creating this interesting device and showing us some of what it can do.
nice to see some innovative new stuff.
great job on the audio!!! seriously tho this looks like a slick piece of audio gear
This is like having Audio Sculpt or Spear on Modular! Amazing!
Big respect to Bob - amazing piece of hardware.
I love that it has a stereo input and output!
I didn't know I knew I needed this before I knew I didn't know I needed this.
wow..thank you. thats an amazing magical piece of module i want to buy :)
Fascinating!!
Thank goodness we got to some re-synthesis of some actual musical material. The talking vocal was driving me crazy.
Very cool!
12:15 onwards, damn! Reason enough to get this thing. Sounds awesome!
Cool man👏
absolutly crazy !
Holy smokes!
I want one!!! Now!!!
love that hotfuzz sample
Awesome stuff! Love the "Freeze" spectral sample-and-hold. Will auto output gain control be a firmware upgrade?
I want one!!!
Yes Sir!!
i wanna do what you do, you do do what i do.... this is permanently stuck in my head now thx :D
take my money!
Dear BOB: Please show us what that FM Input do. Thank you.
that is uh-mazing. (p.s. what's the track being worked over at the end?)
Small typo on the title, it's Panharmonium not Panharmoium
Looks amazing. I use a spectral plugin in Reaper often, so this is very tempting for live work - using eurorack. However, I'm surprised that every time I see a demo of this, it's always using samples. Why doesn't someone show what happens when you send your own music (sequence etc - using Trident as an example) through this?
nice presentation, without overhyped voice of Red Bull drinker he he
Was that Sally Oldfield? If anyone knows ID of that tune with the woman singning, hit me up please.
i need this puppy
Want to buy now! Link?
You do do what I do
Beautiful instrument, but those blue lights on the side are killing...can't they be changed (maybe a choice to change them in realtime?).
Can’t help but feel like the lack of a display interface is holding back the potential of this module enormously.
Nice piece of gear for sure, but Its way too experimental for me.
Nice, finally a eurorack module that can make things sound like super compressed 1990's mp3 files! Viva laplace transforms!

Laplace transforms, the mention is bringing back nightmare's from my college math classes :)

@@jamesvoos2432 I know, right? It's the most mathiest math you can find all over the place so engineers are forced to learn it.

@@dodecalogue Laplace Transforms are basically the same but for discrete time calculations, which is what you do in DSP.
Too many fiddly knobs. Like the cockpit of the millennial falcon. I like that
Managed to hit the pause button before the prog rock started
yeah yeah the good old vocoder anyway the basic of it ... I want one to play around
Not very musical, is it.

A quick delay and granular sampler with bit depth reducer....and the word "oscillator" thrown around a lot. Charge us $500....cool.
