SynthEyes is a powerful 3D tracking and match moving application that can be used to recreate a 3D point cloud from footage. This point cloud can then be used to insert 3D objects into the footage or to create other visual effects.
In this video, you'll learn:
• How to clean up trackers and coalesce nearby trackers with non-overlapping frame ranges
• Set the coordinate system
• Decide on a unit system (e.g. meters)
• Create a reference object and scale it according to real-world dimensions. Use measurements or environmental information to get it right
• Finalize the scene
• Converting 3D trackers to vertices
• Adjust the horizon line and camera position, make any final overall adjustments

Wow! I've been strictly a 3D artist for a while now, but learning to use SynthEyes is really making me more confident in learning VFX. I always found 3D tracking in Cinema4D not the greatest, this is fantastic and I can't wait for part 3!
I'm loving these tutorials. It makes syntheyes much more accessible for everyone

Thank you for an excellent lesson, you revealed many useful nuances. Tell me how to make the buttons in the interface larger, otherwise everything is very small, it’s impossible to read the labels on the buttons.
Been doing this for about a year and decided to do a quick recap just in case... I am now looking for a normal job.

You can export out as a Motion 3D camera and Motion 2D tracker. There's nothing explicit for FCPX. Which effect would you like to see tracking data for and does it have an import track option?

@@BorisFXcoAs a long time FCPX user, Motion is exactly how you would use 3D tracks right in Final Cut.
