Awesome video as always! Polymer chemistry is so fascinating and applicable to everyday life. Really cool that the title points out that there are natural polymers too, something that not many people realize. And a question that I forgot to ask when I was taking ochem, and can't find much reliable info on: when a plastic part is marked, for example >PC+ABS< is there a reliable way of knowing exactly what polymer structure it is? Or probably trade secret varying from manufacturer to manufacturer?

Great question. Sometimes they'll give you bits of information like for example Polycarbonates (PC) are a group of thermoplastic polymers containing carbonate groups in their chemical structures. But that is an entire class of polymer types. Most often, the actual structure is proprietary. I have a friend who makes polymers for medical device implants and when I've tried to ask him about it he always says "if I told you, I'd have to kill you" haha!
