Do you post your midi files anywhere? Id love to learn from how you've written those strings to sound so velvety.

Thank you for your comment. In the past when I distributed MIDI files, there were people who redistributed them falsely claiming that they were their own work, and I have not distributed MIDI since then. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you want to learn jazz strings, I recommend the following textbook. Modern Jazz Voicings: Arranging for Small and Medium Ensembles online.berklee.edu/store/product?product_id=11371&usca_p=t&offer_code=968

@@124askaJazz voicings etc are useful, but what is equally important is how you manipulate the controllers to get realistic sound. I use good libraries but just play the part in - sounds boring, unreal, but it's in the background for a backing track and will not prominent, so I don't care. But REAL sound takes work. THAT'S what we're interested in that you do so well...

@@thesoundsmith I can't play keyboard instruments, so all MIDI notes and CC are handwritten. The same goes for all the other songs I have created. This process is very time consuming, but the results are better for it.
