This video is so well-produced. If this was a show on TV, it would be the only reality show I'd ever follow!

I TOTALLY agree! This would make a great TV show! If there are shows about little kids baking wedding cakes and prison lesbians rescuing tattooed Pit Bull dogs, then this is as valid as any show! I love these guys!

Yeah, but this way there are no know-nothing producers to navigate, no sponsors to worry about, no narrator to pay and no TV "personality" diva to deal with. This is what it should be.
The JUNO chorus effect is amazing

Its like top gear fo Synth heads!!! You guys Rock!!!!
Roland needs to hire these guys. They know what the modern musicians really lusts and crave for..
I love this episode. Not crazy about the new look but watching you guys work is amazing.

Not my cup of tea either, but at least it has internal consistency - it’s unapologetically 1980’s :)
Freaking beautiful! That sound coming out of that thing is insane! 19:37

This series is great! You guys deserve waaay more subs
Congratulations on this series - I'm really enjoying it!
I love all the effort you put into these videos! I especially appreciate the end credit gags :) That custom 106 is so inspiring, too... wow!
Absolutely fantastic video, very inspiring stuff! Really hope you guys continue with this video series
Your show is so charming. Just found the Synth Wizards and I cant stop watching!
I could genuinely listen to these guys doing this all day long. I have recently bought a Roland Juno X which includes a fantastic model of the 106. Excellent synth.
Fantastic job guys! Great innovation and end product! well done!
Love the video, did Juno I just bought one and can't wait to get it. The Syntaur team did a great job on the Juno and the video production. Thanks for keeping these great synths alive!
Chroming plast is incredibly hard to do, firstly its got to be done under vacuum and there are several chemical reactions that need to be performed first .. I saw a video about how the badge for a mustang is made that needed to be painted and chromed in different parts, and it is incredible the amount of work needed for something that you can hold between two fingers
So exciting ! So clear, cool and interesting, thank you for showing us so many things about your (great) work.
I watched this yesterday and was excited about the audio input option with the chorus. Today my favourite DAW (FLStudio) had an update and one of the new plugins is a retro chorus modelled after this. That's crazy..
Loved the video and really such an amazing job on that 106! Keep it up!
Awesome video and the sounds from the refurb Juno are just the best!! 👍 👍😊
You guys are knocking these videos out of the park. Really great content. Very share-worthy. I think it's going to pay off. There are easily 100s of 1,000s of people just waiting to subscribe to this channel. It just popped up in my feed and I immediately subscribed and already have a number of friends in mind to share the channel with. Keep it up!
Beautiful job! That patch sweep is a great idea, I'd love one in a euro module
Hi Sam and Syntaur team! Thank you for making these videos! Glad to have found the channel! Please keep making more of these videos. Would love to see you guys add videos from this series to their own playlist!
OMG...that input for the chorus!!! Wicke smart!
The Patch Sweep on the Juno 107 is incredible. The new blue wrap is as fantastic a look as I've seen on a synth.
I found your show only yesterday, and I love it. Used to play Technics KN1000 myself. Watching the show over the THX Surround System makes it even more lovable.
Excellent presentation, thank you for sharing, also visually your incredible knowledgebase
Thank god for these guys, more than a labour of love or dedication, just awesommmmmmmmmmmmme

This is awesome! It is very well paced and edited. And so damn interesting.
Wow, having ordered a few parts from you guys in the past this is really good to see. More synths I tell ya, Moar!!!
Just discovered your channel..congrats for the excellent job..so awesome!!!
Sweeping through the sound patches is a badass option.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Sam and company!
I have wanted a Juno 106 for quite some time but now I really want a Juno 107!!! I hope to get myself some vintage treat from Syntaur in the near future! Amazing work and from what I’ve seen on the website..killer prices! Keep up the great work guys!
Wow! 😄 You guys are admirable! Lots of respect to you!
I'm a few years late here, but I've been a customer of yours in recent years as I replace the voice chips on my 106. I restored it a few years ago with a few items from your store and have been replacing the chips as they go bad. These new ones from you all are very sturdy and I can mix them with the old ones without hearing any difference. So I'll plug them for you. I only have a couple of original voices left, so I count on replacing them with some Syntaur magic. I plan to gig with this classic synth for many more years. Thanks for your work!
WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is amazing, just discovered yiur channel today . KZread mysteries!!! Amazing video quality and really good and valuable informatipn here!
Amazing job guys! JUNO looks and sounds awesome! I've got a dead DX7 and D-50. I'll maybe need parts at some point, so I'll check your forum. 👍
Love the show! Looking forward to more.
The vinyl wrap makes it look like a ensoniq fizmo

That was my first reaction as well. The graphics were a little loud for my tastes and I wish that the vinyl wrap had a texture to it rather than being glossy. Those are minor points though. It was a cool restore/mod.

Beautiful mods, I actually quite like the vinyl although I wasn't too sure about the chrome job. Still, a fantastic job all round and a great video to watch, you guys rock!

I like the synth, but I'm not too keen on the pimping. The chrome reminds me of a Zappa song (or a cheapo cigarette lighter or Soviet car), and the vinyl looks amateurish, like lipstick on a pig. but not real lipstick.
Fantastic video, great job! I purchased a Juno-106 tonight. :)
I totally loved this video. You guys should be on TV. I once visited your other location (open house) and was blown away with all the gear you had. You all's hospitality Was exceptional. You guys should sale decals to fit over the keyboards. we all would like something customized.
late to this party but you guys are so fun to watch! i learn something every video.
It's the keyboard version of American Choppers but without all the hollering, cursing and smashing between Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. I really enjoyed this episode! Hope we can see many new awesome conversions in many other keyboard. Keep the great guy!👍🎹
I subscribe to all sorts of channels that I like, but I can truly say that this is the first channel I've subscribed to that I can say I'm in love with this channel! It's probably because I'm a musician and although I play many instruments, I have been playing piano since I was 5 yrs. old. I play by ear but my sister took two years of piano lessons. After she took lessons for two years her recital was Tea for Two. It was 1979 and while she played Tea for Two flawlessly, I was playing Don't Stop Believing by ear along with a whole catalog of other songs. I was 12 yrs. old at that time. My sister quit taking lessons so my Mom ask her piano teacher to come by the house and listen to what I played and how I played to see if she could give me lessons. The piano teacher (sorry I can't remember her name) said there was nothing she could do for me because she thought it would only mess me up because I was already well beyond what my sister could do after two years. I'm not sure if the piano teacher was correct in saying that or not but either way I took it as a compliment. I now play on Yamaha keyboards because I like the Grand Piano sound they have but I still have a 1971 Korg patch synth and the Korg Poly 800 which I've heard people call the Mini Moog Killer. I love seeing all these classic synthesizers and seeing you guys fix them up and demonstrate the differences in them. I had a Yamaha mini synthesizer that I regret getting rid of but oh well. I wish I could remember what model it was but it had 49 mini keys and I could create a sound that was close to the sound used for Jump. I learned to play Jump on that little Yamaha. Looking forward to watching all of your videos, I just love it.
Fantastic video! Can't wait to see more.
The chorus on the guitar is beautiful. Always loved the Juno 60 for the chorus. ✌🏻❤️🇬🇧
I love the new look - the wrap is killer. Wicked colour scheme. Great work on getting the chrome knobs on there. You've kinda got a wave table style ability with that cycling effect. When matched up with a tremolo, that could be the foundation for a heap of songs. Man that chorus on the guitar sounded like a Dimension C. I was dubious at first but I am convinced!

Well, guess who made the Dimension C and D - Roland.
I'm not even half way through this video and I had to pause it to say hello. Also, that I love the attention to detail, the concise and accurate terms of phrase used and the video editing in this. I am however, a little bit annoyed because I'm gonna dig out my 6th and only faulty 80017a voice chip which is located somewhere in the garage and have another crack at repairing it. :P Thanks again Syntaur peeps! As you were...
happy i found this channel even though im a bit late to it. btw that juno-107 you made is amazing
OMG. I have a Roland Juno Studio that I bought new in 2010. Around 2017 it start acting up. I was getting those same “grungy” sounds on a couple patches. Then over the course of a few months the grunge migrate to other patches. I got a deal on a used Yamaha motif and retired the the Roland. I just love watching your channel. I have a 40 year old background in electronics, including servicing music equipment. Seeing you opening up a keyboard, servicing it and sometimes making modes, just makes my mouth water. Today I watched the episode on your modified Juno “107”. You talked about how the voice and DCO modules go bad. I’m going to pull my Juno out of the closet and see if the modules are the problem. Then again I’m sure a 2010 digital keyboard will not as discrete component. Guess I’ll find out. Keep those videos coming. Thank you.
Verry happy with u peeps. Thanx for outstanding delivery. Namasté!
Bought my Juno from my music teacher back in the day ('87). Still have it and still love it. It's a lovely synth.
Greetings from Rural Australia, where I am now completely addicted to your show...It's kind of like Orange County Choppers for Synths, but without the Shouting :) Please keep them coming. Thank you

Obviously, we need to start shouting then - maybe we'll get on real TV then, lol! Cheers to you in the outback!
Wow this is unbelievable. Gorgeous! With the guitar distortion it sounds like something Muse would use!
I don't own any syths, nor do I plan to own any soon (let alone restore one), and I also don't watch any regular TV. But I've watched nearly every video on your channel by now, and I just love you guys. I love your self-styled show, your enthusiasm, passion, depth of knowledge, creativity and collaboration, innocence (by which I don't mean simplicity or naïveté), and the general welcoming and honest vibe your whole team / family have. It is so refreshing, and I watch your show as an admirer and fan and as a way to calm the anxiety I get from so many other corners of the world. If you guys are aiming for cable, Netflix, etc., I really hope you get there, because you deserve every success. ✌️🤞
I sit and watch this religiously, and can't wait to go down go the Hill country and visit you guys.
Amazing teamwork keep up the good job it is one of a kind #1
Love this video good job. I like Juno sounds.
Wow! such a quality Video! awesome job guys!
hoping to see episode 3 someday! Best wishes from Japan.
Awesome, your team are very smart and talented people
how does this channel only have 13.2k subs??? this was so well made and produced I forgot I was on youtube!
Love Syntaur....my go to place for synth parts
What a wonderful surprise to come across this "Pimp my synth" show! I Amazing how well it is produced. I don't actually like the graphic design of the overlay very much, but that's a matter of taste. One very common issue with the 106 is that the chorus becomes excessively noisy. I wish there was a modern alternative to the BBDs used in the chorus circuit...

ooowww I love this kind of job... I think im gonna leave all that im doing and start doing this restoring magic. I really love what you do.
Absolutely Beautiful . And The Mods - WAW.. I want one... Nice Work Guys n Gals....
Love this so much! More Synth Wizards! :)
arguably one of the coolest keyboard synth builds ever...juno it could do that? lolololol...that chorus through is excellent...best ive ever heard. excellent job !!! ps...killer vinyl!
That preset sweep feature through the guitar amp sounds amazing!
Around 20:00 you inadvertently showed a great tip for recording ie putting your synth through a guitar/bass/keyboard amp with a microphone in front. Your synthesiser sounds will sit completely differently in a mix. Great custom job guys Very impressive!
Really cool stuff!!! Liked, subscribed, and shared :)
The Juno 107 is the most beautiful fantastic looking synth I have ever seen. The custom panel is simply amazing. The patch sweep is pretty hot !
Great work 👍🏼
Damn, I live in Wisconsin, and last spring we visited family in New Braunfels, TX. Had I known about your shop, I would've stopped by.
Just found this channel! - i am subscribing as the ol synth granpa i am!! - greetings - Levi in sweden
Aaawesome! Well I started as a keyboarder back in 1983, because I was good at programming synths. My playing still kinda sucked 😅. My favorites are the analog beasts. I still have my humble 1982 Korg Polysix. Of course it's dead with a leaked battery and key contacts gone bad. At least it's still 100% complete. I'm located across the pond, otherwise I would gladly give it to you guys to do with it whatever you like. Not a powerful synth, but it made some sweet sounds. That ensemble effect (probably a chorus and a phaser combined) sounds fantastic for all sorts of pads. Fantastic work you guys are doing!!!
Fantastic idea and those mods Wow it looks and sounds great, Well done and I really Enjoy watching your videos, perhaps you can ask Netflix to air your Show in their Documentary section.
What a beautiful instrument you made! I'm sure you could build them to order and your order books would fill up!!
You guys are amazing!
Really interesting project and results.
That modulation effect demo at the end reminded me of early THE HUMAN LEAGUE a'la _'Travelogue'_ and _'Reproduction'._ Cool channel and videos here... (P.S. Massive score points for Gary Numan's _'The Pleasure Principle'_ hanging on the wall. Awesome!)
I gotta say, I really love the design of the graphic and the purple lights
This is all kinds of brilliant!
This was great guys... Roland can learn a thing or 2 from you guys.
Awesome sound of the preset changing
That Juno thru that Vox amp sounds sick as hell . lol

as a Keyboard player, an Electronics /comp Tech, and someone who owns a Juno Di,,, i couldnt help myself but to like & subscribe to your very cool channel, keep it up sir...
Powertran Transcendant 2000! Awesome highly undervalued synth. Designed I believe by Tim Orr of EMS fame, hence the gorgeous sound! Still have mine, kit built by a friend in 1979, still fully functional and sounding great!
I hope you guys will make more videos of this kind! I'm sure you'll get a lot of views!
That guitar through the chorus was beast!
That sounded so good!
