Good one. I belive mention of telemeter scale to meshure distance was really interesting addition of a chronograph. Maybe too obscure today but used a lot before

Good point, Telemeter was used to calculate the distance of the enemy artillery, by counting the difference of the canon firing lightning and the sound of it. Today it can be usefull to claculate the distance of a thunderstorm while outdoors and seek shelter when is coming closer. Nice feature but unfortunately disappeared from modern watches

I always heard that WWI was where the wrist watch for men was originally used. Now I know it was around 1894. Thanks for the information.
