I keep listening to this beast that is Allen and reflect on how well his voice has aged, without losing a bit of his power and quality. He is truly (for me) undisputedly the best singer in metal (and rock, for that matter).

Yes, I think you're right. The old Symphony X is what I prefer.

This Band brings it in the studio. And plays twice as good live. Symphony X, is undoubtedly one of the finest quality bands, to ever grace, a world stage. Thank you Symphony X, for caring about making great music. Your true fans, know who, and appreciate, what you stand for. Peace.

Bffffff best metal singer in decades

That's John Macaluso on drums. I met him through a friend. John is a fantastic drummer & a really down to earth decent person too

I keep coming back to this song and this performance. It is so goddamn flawless, have rarely heard a singer sing this spot on all the time.

Russel Allen = perfection

These guys give me the chills and the voice... wow...i wish to assist to one of their concerts at least once in my life

You guys are so fucking amazing. I really have you as one of my favorite bands since I heard V: The New Mitology. And I still remember the days when I was going to piano lessons listening Oddyssey and and wondering how something could give me chills like that. I really hope one day i can see you live guys! strictlymetal Barlow doesn't even come close. Sure he has range, but his highs sound forced and his low cleans are awful. Stu Block is by far the best vocalist iced earth has ever had.

KyleJPie10 simply a matter of preference. Nobody emotes like Barlow, Stucifer is great, but Barlow will always be the voice of Iced Earth for me, and in my opinion sings circles around Allen. No disrespect to Allen, but Barlow, Tate, Dio, Dickinson, Tony Martin and yes, Stu, are better in my book.

I would disagree years ago. Tho Ive always thought Russel>>>>>(FAR ABOVE)>>> James. But now James have turned into nothing, sadly. I had the chance to see Images and Word tour now but I passed as I heard they downtuned the entire album. Ugh.. Russel is/was the best prog metal vocalist no doubt. He just proved his place in the top during this performance!

I hate cars The drummer in this video is John Macaluso (drummer for Ark, TNT, Malmsten and many more) He took Rullo's place for some gigs, but now Jason Rullo is back hitting drums.

This musta been when Jason Rullo was having health problems.
