legend. A conductor, film composer, jazz pianist, concert pianist and contemporary music composer all at the same time. It would be a huge honor to master even just one of any, but this man managed to be all of them at the highest level

Wonderful. And Mr Previn like always: a great musician reaching the hightest level of this Strauss marvel!
Ne znam o cemu se radi, ali kao da sam osetila ceo, svoj život. Uzburkana osecanja i za radost i za tugu. Divno. Hvala

fantastic orchestra..beautiful sound ....and on top Andre Previn...and on top of that, " Strauss " with his genius masterpiece:-) thx for posting:-))
너무 너무 아름답습니다♡
This must have been a favourite work of Previn's. His interpretation is among the best by far. Incidentally Strauss wanted to conduct this on his last visit to London in 1947 but limited resources just after the second world war denied the composer the opportunity.
Maravilhoso !

Nei, han gikk dessverre bort i 2019. Dette opptaket er fra 2002, fra hans første konsert som sjefdirigent for Oslo-Filharmonien. Du kan lese mer om hans tid i Oslo her: ofo.no/no/jubileum/2002-2006

How did Strauss justify this ridiculous 5 minute coda?
