SYM 125cc Road Trip - Day 1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
To let of some steam the SYM Romania team decided to go on a weekend road trip. Somehow I managed to convince everyone in the showroom to jump on 125cc machines and hit the road. I was in charge of the road so of course we had to take two of Romania's highest and most challenging roads, the Transfagarasan and the Transalpina to really put the little 12 bhp machines to the ultimate test. Will they make it on this epic 800km 2 day road trip?

As a romanian, I've never been on Transfăgărășan 😂 but I will try to make it on 2 wheels the first time i get there 😉. Thanks for the ride!

Fantastic, love the 125 trips 🤩
You have given me a new love of my ST200. I was planning on selling it a few months ago but will now keep it - I thought I was stupid to be riding it a long way, but now I embrace it.

Love this! I've just brought a 2008 Suzuki UH Burgman 125 and hoping to take it to the sea side this weekend! Definitely feeling more confident watching your video and seeing you go that far, subscribed!

Another excellent road trip. My Buddy Kick has fuel injection, so it can handle the higher altitude. The Don is a beast. 👏🇺🇸🇷🇴👏

Great trip! you have convinced me that buying a small scooter isn't a bad idea. I love the ability to weave through the traffic easily.
Excellent ride. Respect for 125cc machines
Weinig mensen in West Europa weten dat Roemenie zo n mooi land is. Mooie video weer Alex!
800 kilometers in 2 days is a feat?! Even though it’s 9 months after your ride, we’ve recently had bear attacks as well as people trying to pet buffalos, (you fill in the blanks)?! People are the same here as in Romania. Interesting ride with vendors on the side of the road? Rola (Oregon / USA)
Transfaragasan! Have been there once (by car though). Incomparably stunning there!
"A scenery you could've flown into, had your brakes failed" 🤣 I have just enrolled a driving school and looking forward to obtain my A1 license and to buy my very first scooter. Today at the Sym dealership in Belgrade I talked to a guy who's working there and he recommended that I watch your channel. So far I am not disappointed 🙂

Get yourself the A license not A1.. so in the future if you will want to change to a bigger CC scuter/motorcicle.. you do not have to go and take another license exam. Just a recomandation. That way you can ride any scuter/motorcicle you want. and trust me.. eventualy you will want to to ride bigger bikes later. Don't ask how i know...:))
🎉 asa da!
Romania is stunninglybeautiful! Would luv to visit one day

At 15:39 all those cars are there because there is a nice hiking path called "Valea lui Stan". It is very nice. It takes you up to the dam.

Splendiferous ride ! Corner to corner with flickable scooter is so so nice and easy and fun. It's like the bike flows with the road. I have a side question for you, as Sym expert.. I currently own a Symphony SR 125 /not ST/ What is the difference besides the cosmetics? It looks a bit sportier to me.
@RideWithAlex

The SR and my 2nd gen ST the frame is completely different, I have the fuel tank in the floor and underseat storage is twice as large.
Excellent video. Now i am sure that a 125cc scooter is able to do some nice long trip.

Great video. I'm thinking to buy sym cruisym 125 as I really like it's design. It looks amazing. Currently I owned honda Forza but wanted to give a try something different. Do you recommend cruisym? Thanks

The cruisym I recommend it in 300c form but if you can only ride 125cc then yeah, it's an awesome machine. Really comfortable and manuvrable.
Hey Alex, I see you got steer heating… would you zlso do it with 125cc or is the battery too small!? Nice rides! I have the jet x for a year now… 6500km’s and it s awesome!

is it possible to ask a few questions about Symphony 200 - 1) are there any problems with long trips along the serpentine? what are the signs that you need to stop and let the brakes rest? does it slow down the transmission in any way? 2) What is its real weight? did you have to drag it somewhere over rough terrain? for what points can it be tilted, for example, to be carried over rails? Is it convenient? 3) Has ABS ever worked? at what speeds? How much did it help?
@RideWithAlex
Ай бұрын
If you pay attention to the scooter you can smell the brakes overheating and you can feel the lever getting soft, that means you are about to run out of brakes. It has engine brake like any scooter. Wight is 130kg wet. ABS works like on any motorcycle in case of an emergency.
Awesome! I want a Symphony but they only sell the Jet 14 200 here. :(

can you give me more info on jet x - how do you compare to symphony 200 ?
Driving at these high altitudes,have you ever noticed any reduce of the power of your donny ? I had some trips with my st 125 aircooled symphony in altidudes like 1300-1700 metres and i realised that the power was reduced ,because of less air or less oxygen ?i am not sure .

How hard is it to find parts for Sym and Daytona? I want to buy a Revo 50 or Sym 50 and I do not know how easy can you find parts at the dealership or aftermarket after the warranty goes of.

De cateva luni planuiesc achizitia si inca mai trag de timp, osciland intre Revo 50 si a mai amana pentru a lua carnetul de A2.

Alex do you ever try getting more speed from the sym 125cc water-cooled engine I think you said the clutch was a 200cc one I think it would get you a lot more subscribers especially as a lot of car drivers can only go 125cc even if you have had a car licence for 30 years even if you have done your CBT speed is speed know matter what you are driving or riding danger is danger comes with old age

30,000 km with the rear tire? How is that possible?! 👀 I have a Medley 150 and my tire is completely bald after 10,000 km. 95% of my driving is similar to yours on the open road and at an average speed of 90 km/h
