Sylvester Stallone | Rare Lockdown Interview on Rocky, Workouts, Artwork

Ойын-сауық

Follow Sly on Instagram: / officialslystallone
In this rare at-home interview during COVID-19 lockdown, Stallone answers questions submitted by fans very candidly. Topics discussed include selling Butkus, ripping his pec off while training for Rocky II, his tattoos, his artwork, his writing process, fighting Hulk Hogan, a Demolition Man reboot, Creed, maybe bringing Rocky Balboa back, and the importance of slowing down and spending time with family.

@@baz7918 I third that...one of the last of the Hollywood legends that inadvertently, society would learn and understand the general term; 'Rocky story', in that for decades it's also been a synonym for the many 'underdog who wins against all odds' stories out there. BTW it's ''allowed'', not ''aloud'' ;)

It's what causes the slur and droopy eye. He's obviously undergone lots of speech therapy but the original Rocky's way of speaking with a slur is all him, go back and listen to his interview with Barbara Walters in the 80s. He has to exaggerate it NOW to play Rocky. Basically, he's relaxed, no pressure, eats healthy and obviously works out. I think he's simply aging well.

@@donnamoon8769 You definitely should be proud!! Before I got sick, I always wanted to come there and run those steps! Is there REALLY a statue of Rocky outside the museum? And, if you haven't already seen the documentary about making Rocky, you should. They didn't have permission from the union to film on the docks, so that scene where he's running fast with the van, the guy said he was doing about 40mph because they didn't want to get caught. And, I'm a few years older than you, I am 55. That theme song is universally revered, on good days, when I can move around some, I put it on for motivation. He was just looking to make a good movie and it's changed people's lives. I'm just afraid that he's going to pull a "Mickey" in Creed III and I don't think my heart can handle it. I had to do a little research on the little actor who plays Logan, his grandson, just to see if he was related to Talia Shire because he does look like her. He's not. And, for everyone else who thinks the actor who plays Rocky's son, is really Sly's son, he's not.

After watching Sly and Arnold in movies with all their muscles I asked my parents for a bench press weight set for my birthday. Three years later in high school my chest was almost as big as Arnold and I grew a full mustache at age 17 thanks to Magnum P.I. Tom Selleck : ) Thanks to watching Knight Rider I bought a black 1984 Camaro similar to the Pontiac and custom restored it and won many 1st place trophies and been in two magazines with it. Right. I hate it when people give these crazy pretentious, complicated answeres to that question. Ego drives a good 99% of people who are into gaining muscle. I have no shame in admitting that I lift hard 6 days a week to look good and make better first impressions. Feeling great is amazing but it's a bonus side effect for me. Same reason I try and dress well in public, I want to be looked at favorably.

Rocky helped me get my alzeimers mother out of bed and walking in the mall till she was able to make it all the way up and down the length of the mall with her walker as I whispered in her ear, "Cmon' Ma, Rocky 3, Rocky 3, Eye Of the Tiger Ma, Eye of the tiger". Although, she is further on now, I still use the Rocky mantras to keep her strong as it gets even tough for her. In Rocky Balboa when he told his son, how the world will beat you down but its not about how hard you're hit, its how much you can get hit and still keep moving forward, and that's how winning is done! Some of the greatest words of wisdom ever spoken in any movie or book. it reminded me of what my father told me about how you just keep on going. Rocky/ Mr Stallone is my zen master hero! thanks Sly/Rocky you're the greatest, Thank you!

He is so gracious and humble as a man, human being let alone icon in the film industry. I love what he said about art that " creativity is created by anxist". Musicians are similar to actors and artists in that there are many rewrites of a song however once in a while you catch lighting in a bottle.

What do I love about the Rocky movie series? The values. The character of Rocky, his integrity, his values, his rock solid sense of right and wrong and his willingness to not only be raw and bold in the ring, but also to be a man who sets an example for other men inside and outside the ring. THIS in My opinion, is why people love Rocky. He is the kind of MAN you would want as a husband, a father, a brother, a son, a brother in law, and a friend. He's tough, he can take the punches and he can dish them out too, and he will call a spade a spade if it means it might wake you up to reality for your own good. Rocky IS one hell of a hunk of man with just enough strengths and flaws to make him .................believable and unforgettable.

People need to see Rambo First Blood where you comment throughout the movie. That movie was INSANE! People have no idea what was involved and went into making that film.

Must say this was a truly amazing gesture from you to your fans or to who admire you! Very humble, intelligent, patience and hearted person towards life and others. respect. And all good things coming your way. Despite have born in 76 My favourite Sly movie is still Rocky 1 and also 2. I think the movie is a master piece. Very raw, dont seem like a movie, but very real stuff! Genius from start to the end, the story script, actors performance etc.👍 Keep that up👊
