Sylvan Lake is the crown jewel of Custer State Park which is pretty awesome on its own. Furthermore, it is close to the Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse National Monuments and within a day trip to the Badlands and Wind Cave National Parks. There is so much to do in this area that you can easily spend a week or two. While this video focuses on getting to the lake through awesome tunnels and hiking around the lake, we have another video that is all about the park and surrounding day trips. I had not even heard of this place two years ago but now I want to share it with the world!!!
