This song gives me one of those nostalgic gut punches that make you feel like you saw your best friend from middle school for the last time.

@@quincylinder9738 i met this girl from Bavaria that came to Nigeria beginning of 2024 to biuld our first ever skate park here, i fell really hard for her after only like two solid weeks of spending almost everyday together. Finally the project was done after like a month and she left back to Germany, This song has made me cry every single day i play it even by accident because she played me this video for the first time when we were comparing music taste on one beautiful day and i just dont understand how a song can really carry alot of weight in control momentary emontions.
I first heard this song when an old friend that I had not seen in awhile picked me up from the mainland ferry to stay with her the weekend. It was pouring rain and she had just got a new sound system in her car with bass. I'll never forget that feeling of being so relaxed and connected. The look of the lights glowing in the raindrops on the windshield or how she looked so pretty in the rear view mirror smoking a cigarette and blowing the smoke out a crack in the window.

“wild winter, warm coffee, mama’s gone, do you love me? blazing summer, cold coffee, baby’s gone, do you love me?” these lyrics will always be special to me. when i used to listen to this song in high school, my mom would often be gone for months at a time to take care of my grandma in florida during the winters and during the summers i went away to camp. during the times when we were in the same place though, we always had coffee together in the morning and it was time that i cherished.

This song has no business being this freaking good. Sick beat.
Laurent took this song and add a plus to the art. LOVE LOVE
this video is so organic. the people are not models, they are beautiful in a very average you and me sort of way. their dance moves aren't all that impressive, but there is sincerity behind them.

Me too...I was asleep doing the TV watching me kind of thing and I woke up to it. I love their quirkiness--her weird dancing and his one piece of a machine making that lovely music. On Conan it seemed more of a "naked" version---but I think I found a new album to buy. Yeah!

Life was so good when I was a kid. When I used to hear this song I miss hearing it as a kid and just my childhood
My favorite song, I can listen to it 100 times in a row and find something new and delightful
Wild winters, warm coffee Mom's gone, do you love me? Blazing summer, cold coffee Baby's gone, do you love me? Something about these lines makes me so happy every time.
"I know my words will dry upon the skin" one of the most emotionally powerful line of lyrical genius I've heard in a very long time...

I’ve listened to this song thousands of times and never knew there was a music video till now. Wow.
I’m amazed to hear so many others talk about the unforgettable and distinct feeling that this song evoked in them. I had this same experience with an ex that came back into my life briefly years ago at the perfect timing of this song and it’s been very hard to listen to ever since but I’m finally able to appreciate it again without the sadness. ❤❤

As far as I can tell, it's: "Feel the turn of rotation and stop. See the next one waiting." for every chorus. Not 'general attention/mix won't work.'
After working at Teavana for so long, you would get accustomed to having this song play super often. I couldn't help but tap my foot whenever it did come on. Rest in piece to that era.

he lyrics are actually really deep and pretty. She is singing about the cycle of love, and how it becomes almost mechanic in a way. The clearest imagery placed in the lyrics "sentiment being the same" when you dance any learned dance but the dance partner "pair of feet" changing. It's beautiful honestly.
I love how even when the dance is supposed to be kind of fun and silly you can still tell that she's got a sense of rhythm and can probably tear it up at the club

I immediately began to cry, and every now and then I play it, because it helped me cope through such a hard time.

When it would storm my ex and I would go to the back of her car and listen to music and smoke cigarettes. This song was one she showed me. We have been apart for a month and I'm just starting to be able to listen to stuff again, especially without the memories flooding back. It's going to take awhile but I feel I'm starting to get over her slowly. She will always be in my heart, but I have to be able to open up my heart to this person that likes me, eventually.
