Sylhet (including Karimganj) was infact the most developed part of Assam. That's why British government kept Sylhet with Assam for so many years. Now the Assamese people are saying that the Barak valley's people are immigrants? How foolish.

British government can answer this. Karimgonj belongs to Sylhet and stolen from Sylhet. Meghalaya Shillong belongs to Sylhet again taken from Sylhet.

I don't agree to the part of necessary participation in Assamese festival i don't want to misjudge words but if it certainly seems like a condition we have to abide by so as to live in assam. I mean immigration happened hundreds of years ago and we still in 2024 have to justify stuff for existing.
