I absolutely love your style. Very easy going, love the tool segment where you said to use what you have. You don't hear that from many turners. Thank you for this stunning sycamore turn. You have a new subscriber.

This piece of sycamore, with all those colors and tones--gorgeous what you brought out of it, because it was hiding in there. One of my favorite pieces, a good lesson in turning and vision. :)

Al it is amazing how you start out with piece of wood that most people would not even use for firewood and turn it into a thing of beauty. Well done again. Also how you have taken your lathe and converted into a great tool that lets you do your turnings. Probably 40 years ago I had an old Monkey Wards lathe that I made wood riser blocks so I could turn the pedestal part of a round oak table I made. Your blocks brought back some good memories. I didn't leave mine on though but kept them just in case. I have watched many of your older videos and like them all. Your tool making and tool modifying skills are impressive. I enjoy making and modifying tools myself almost as much as I do wood turning. Looking forward to your next video. Gary

Hi again Mr. Furtado I think with those inclusions it looks like one of those pots from ancient Greece that you see on the seabed on TV programs...i think its another beautiful piece you've done there....again... I like the presentation of these utube films your doing... Its right that you should go for the best that you can afford in terms of tooling...but like you point out there's plenty out there to get you started.... It seems a long time since you made the riser blocks for that lathe.... The time it took to make & fit them was clearly a good investment...😉

The indents in the sides and the rich colors in the figure turned what would otherwise have been a plain vanilla shape into something striking.

Hey Al, thank you so much for that, I can not believe that’s the same piece, it really has lightened up. Well to tell you the truth I prefer light/ white wood over yellow and brown (except for black and purple and reds I love them) and I really like the way it has faded back to its lighter colour but that’s just my opinion. Again thank you for the link I would never had found it on my own. Take care. 📐💜📐

Thank you my friend I am glad you enjoy it. I hate to repeat same thing over and over. I do understand that at times someone comes over and sees my channel for the first time and therefore get pieces of missing information but I assure you I have done several videos on them.. I pretty much use same tools and finishes. Yorkshire grit and OB shine juice and any gluing is CA thin glue and saw dust.
