It's hard to feel sorry for him when he's voluntarily putting himself up to be hurt like that. Corso is the prime example of the nice guy beta male type, who thinks he loves a woman, but he doesn't love the actual person that she is. Instead, he's in love with some idolized version of her that he sees in his head. And each time she breaks his heart, he comes back for more. One may feel some pity for him the first time, sure, he didn't know the Captain very well and may have honestly misread her, but then he travels all over the galaxy with her and sees the same thing transpire again and again, and he's still a wet blanket for her in the end. If, instead of fawning all over her with his "I respect women" routine, he found some self-respect and either put his foot down or left the woman who's constantly hurting him, he may eventually find a partner who respects him in turn.

it became equally painful to play thorough at the end. there's at least one good thing to come out of it though: this romance won't carry over to kotfe and beyond! not married = no romance flag, so he did move on after all :)

30:20 now that’s a romance story is like to watch. Bad girl, plays by her own rules, needs no one and honest that she will breaks hearts. Good guy or girl that does not get angry and can take care of himself with a thrill of adventure with the women that he’s loves.

I feel so bad for Corso, these are the dialogue options I couldn’t bring myself to take. I hope for the expansions your characters promiscuity calmed down somewhat, but I doubt it.

You missed one on Alderaan. I think it's bonus series, where you meet this commando guy with scarred face from the trailer. She can ask him out for dinner and he will joke about him being too old :)

A plain simple "Koth romance" is just too dull, but I'll see, maybe different past choices lead to different reactions from him and a compilation will be worth it :) Then again, it might be a hell to get the material needed for it. To illustrate, I'm making vids that illustrate every dialogue in KotFE that changes depending on our class and alignment, and I already discovered that I need 2 of each class (LS and DS) to access all the lines. If I need as much effort for an interesting romance vid, I'll pass :P

I do that with Risha as well. Both my smugglers would probably have orgy with the entire dark and jedi councils for the hell of it. If the Hutt cartel leaders would wanna join - the more the merrier :D

Finally!! Finally someone who can appreciate him! Sure, he's flawed in the eyes of feminism, but I don't know, he's just so sweet... and tormenting him is the funniest thing ever :) And I guess I'll have to romance him again for KotFE -- we're not married so the game doesn't think we're in a relationship. Although I'd like to think that he gathered all his willpower together and actually dumped that disaster of a woman :D

I created a female smuggler because I am a huge fan of Kath Soucie's voice work. Also my sister made a male smuggler so gender swap. Honestly got sick of Corso's very old fashioned view on women (sure women did too) but I had her marry him anyway. Not that I'm not polite to women but I prefer to treat everyone equally regardless of gender and race.

Personally I need to go through some mental gymnastics to remember what the problem with Corso was again. I feel bad for putting him through all that shit - I'd rather do that with Doc (who totally deserved to run into someone like my smuggler), but nooo, the universe just wanted to be cruel and unfair!

Kath Soucie is the female smuggler's voice actress she was HUGE in the 90's in a lot of shows that I watched. Also I just bought the Togruta and decided to create a female Knight and am already feeling bad about even thinking of her romancing Doc. I have a Twi'lek that I made to romance Theron cause I figured the female Consular's romance option would be like Doc...I was wrong. So I felt bad for telling the guy "not interested" I have seen the future and the future is Theron Shan.

Iresso? He's a bit bland for my taste but certainly one of the better female romances pub side, if not at all. Praise the stars for Tharan Cedrax though, the only somewhat romanceable companion outside of the obligatory romance that female toons get. I believe I've complained about the lack of variety before in the comments here (felt somewhat vindicated in KotFE but that's another story. Can we agree that Koth is quite all right too?). Speaking of the expacs, were you thinking about romancing Theron before or after KotFE? I can see people feeling guilty about before, seeing how the romanced companions don't get to voice their opinions, but KotFE hookups seem fair. Vette's the only one who's taken the breakup badly, but then again it's always been obvious that this relationship is important for her.

I didn't have my female Consular, Deanna, romance Iresso at all as I created her for Theron. So when Iresso was asking for a chance to date she said "no" and I felt bad for not giving him a chance. Doesn't help that he narrates one of my favorite TV shows "The First 48" About Tharan Cedrax, when he came onto my Consular it seemed like it was: "I have a penis you have a vagina let's have sex" and what really annoys me is that I had told him no sex and yet the next scene he acts like we did it anyways. Which is probably a glitch. Not sure about Koth, there's not enough of him in the game to really justify me creating another character to romance him when they keep you with Theron and Lana 24/7.

Oh I agree that as a character Cedrax is as bad as Doc, all I'm saying is that I'm glad that female toons get SOMETHING. Cause it's just not fair: male smugglers get to choose a companion to romance, DS!warriors get to choose, agents get to choose... where's *our* choice, huh? =\

Sadly, the Numan part on Balmorra is now bugged, Corso doesn't get jealoux anymore and it just cuts off the whole end of the romance in the last conversation =(

I love corso but she did say im not the right girl for you.

Why the heck do people dislike Corso? He seems like a pleasant person. And the whole "beta male/alpha male" bull doesn't count as a reason.

I really Liked Darmas and thought he was a good match for my Smuggler. I wished he could have become a companion or they bring him back and you can then officially romance him like they did with other characters. Corso though oh my sith lord did he annoy me so much. I really disliked him.

I've seen 2 main reasons listed before: - He's clingy regardless of whether you romance him or not. All those jealous reactions to the smuggler flirting with NPCs? You could've sent Corso to hell and he'd still act jealous, and it annoys people. - He's condescending and old-fashioned af and and ticks the feminists off. So the call him benevolently sexist. Some say that he's manipulating the f!smuggler into thinking no one loves her more than him (degrading others?). And that he never apologizes upon being called out. And the last straw seem to come when people play a m!smuggler and see Corso approving of him hitting on random women. I saw a tumblr post summarizing this stuff rather well, trying to find it but no luck so far. I must be bad at feminism. I sort of understand the arguments and how Corso's personality rubs people the wrong way if they are looking at him with an uninterested eye (male smuggler or female who's not romancing him), but as an interested person I kind of fail to find many flaws in him. *scratches head*

I can't remember where but I think I also saw something about Jaesa, Kira and Mako returning in next season.

How did you get a romance with Corso? When I flirted that much Corso didn't want a romance.

I didn't get most of the dialogs with Corso. Not sure why, at the end he said that he doesn't want to "practice" . I played it a few years ago so maybe things has changed.
