Hi Linda, I'm an ex Fisher man due to medical issues, we always made sure we had something put away for a rainy day, just in case the fishing was bad, on the good trips that's when we didn't over spend, when we got paid, always stay with in your means

Howizit TK😎 I have been enthusiastically following your off-shore longline adventures for quite awhile now. I have always admired the manner you Skippered your previous vessel 'Sharp Shooter' and your solid connection you had with your crew. I wish you all the best at the helm of your new vessel and that Tangaroa bless you with safe passage, smooth sailing, and your hooks are laden with giant Tuna and Swordies. Best of luck from NZ, My Bro! 👈😎👌 Go Well

Normally if we paint the deck we mix it with sand and not beach sand it's salty use unsalted sand, and maybe less chance of sliding

Now I’ve never fished on a long liner like this but Lets do some maths together. It’s a 30 mile mainline , divided by 6 that’s 5 mph ( about 4 knots ) which might seem a little slow …..but if they did it in 2 hours they’d have to be baiting and steaming at 12 knots . Working from another angle, 900 hooks & baits is 2.5 hooks a minute …..sounds pretty busy to me ?…..If they did that in 2 hours they’d be baiting 7.5 hooks a minute min or a bait every 8 seconds which seems tad frantic ? I know TV producers like to exaggerate but I think Linda is a pretty experienced skipper and straight shooter (pun intended)…..if she says 6 hours total I’d bet that’s about right. Great show by the way, the drama of real life at sea doesn’t need to be hyped up and honest people working hard is great ….to watch 😅😊😅😂

Hi Linda, the commentator you were out of the game for 10 years and it shows, I didn't think that was a fair comment, from him just to make a programme, if the fish aren't there you just wave a magic wand, just the same as us there one minute gone the next

Ben's first night and your laughing, remember your first night or day you should be able to help him instead of having a laugh, he will get there just like you did, it's not funny out fishing, one boat middle of the ocean with a crew could be gone in minutes, your there to help each other not laugh
