All it takes in a bad storm is the engine to cut out. Then you go beam on and in a big sea it would be like riding in a washing machine drum. These boats are not submarines. Just an engine stall is all it takes. Every guy who goes out knows the risks. The best thing people can do is buy more, and pay more for fish, knowing what it costs crews and families. $5k for a long trip is pathetic, really. These guys work 24hrs a day out there, in danger even in their bunks.

That's disgusting throwing those small dead swordfish back. I know it's a legal requirement same as here in Australia with blue and black marlin. But why can't fisheries see throwing back dead fish is just a waste

not every boat is honest and has cameras. So there would be tons more "dead" undersized fish being harvested

@@derekwalter3875 🤣🤣Bet the Canadian fish inspectors and monitors that have to be present at the wharf each time a boat unloads it's catch will tell you different !! The Captains are not going to risk a big fine or lose their CATCH for a few small swords..
