Man, 180 episodes in and I can't believe how consistanly creative you are. You really bathed in the fountain of metal riffage, Ola. 🎸🔥

While I can’t speak, for everyone, I believe this is one of the best Heavy Metal channels, for the simple fact of how authentic and sincere you are in every video and live stream that you release. You’re not afraid to show any quirks or extreme awkwardness despite being watched by thousands of people and that alone builds trust and confidence that the person on camera is the same person off camera, or at least I hope ,but I have a feeling you’re not one of those bad eggs. 🤘
Awesome show, Ola! Sorry I missed the premiere. I really enjoyed it... then again, I enjoy all of these shows. 🤘😎
That intro is just badass! Love it!!! HEAALL YEAAHH!!! That editing makes me wish I was left handed! Jimmy Paiges voice is high due to the price being high. That is really cool having a workshop for the customers, those Indonesians really can shred! It is really cool to have been on this journey seeing Solar from it's inception and growing, from Ola making videos in his spare room in the apartment to going from a smaller office to the current office, the launch of lefty guitars, launch of basses. S by Solar is an awesome concept.
what an intro \m/ You're a fantastic player Ola, a joy to listen to \m/
Appreciate the short lick lesson. It helps us connect with you. Nothing to difficult or long. Can't wait to learn and incorporate it in my playing 😊
I also use my thumb when I do punch harmonics.
You did it! Another great episode of Sunday with Ola. Thank you
🤘🤘🤘 love the quick lead lesson at the end, been watching u for years....keep it chugging.
I liked learning your lick, thanks @Ola!
Gonna practice that leak! Thanks 💪 And thanks for another great and entertaining video!
As always another highly entertaining video. Been watching your content since the DAR amp demo you did. Keep up the awesome work, you're my first goto when looking for a gear review. "WILL IT CHUG....." 🤘
Thanks Ola. Best way to start Sunday.
very nice! great intro and awesome solo at the end \m/
You did so well on the video call Ola. You're always on point when it matter most.
50 000 $ Jimmy Page guitar ... is it an Epiphone with two broken neck ? What a deal ! Take my money and my house ! $$$$$ 😲

Thats just something poor people complain about. Ive owned 4 gibsons, and only lost one headstock, ive also snapped a Japanese Ibanez RG headstock off on stage. I still play ibanez and gibson, its not their fault I’m absolutely out of control
@rejeancomeau77

@Ottophil just was giving a little bit of humor here. I own about 35 guitars, and I'm not poor , i got two Gibson and one Epiphone, and two of them had a broken headstock. They just have a bad headstock angle . I got pretty much every brand of guitars here, and only the Gibson product failed. But yes, other brands can break too for sure and are all , but those Gibson are the ones that are very sensitive and overpriced. But i still love them a lot

@@Ottophil It's absolutely Gibson's fault. I've been a guitar player for over 35 years, owned more than that in guitars, quite a few were Gibsons. And not one of them were any more special then their Epiphone counterpart. The headstock angle is directly responsible . With Ibanez, I can almost guarantee you that it was a double locking Trem and it had the rear mounted nut withe the screw holes through the neck. Bad design choices on both ends. Ibanez has since corrected theirs.

Thank you Ola. Big metal fan. Played guitar decade ago. Youve helped me pick up a guitar again and its nice. I'm learning classical style. It's not as exciting as metal, but I'll get to play metal when i get better. thank you!

@@joshsmith7033 *breaks - and I have covered those breaks for him. I've broken so many that every time I order strings I get extra 9's, 10's, and 11's. Some Of the B strings too if I need them. I got a little heavy-handed stretching them out. As far as what he was thinking, there could be many, many reasons. A new family, children. Sometimes a mixture of a job and the family. Maybe an illness or parent or family member required full timcare. I didn't play for almost 10 years. My ex-wife would get jealous of my time spent playing and not paying attention to and spending money on her. So, I gave up one love to satisfy another. First thing I did when we got separated was buy a new rig. And I've been building up my collection since then. You never know what someone's reason for doing what we ourselves see as inconceivable. Just be grateful that you yourself haven't been put into that situation. And I pray you never do my friend. And I can finally rest easy knowing that a hex from the future is what's been causing me to break all of those "E" strings for the last 10 years! HAHA!!

Awesome Swola riff Ola. I just did the one hum one volume pickguard on my strat. It sounds so much better now. I hope to do a Swola soon. You rock man!
Commenting to comment!!! Happy weekend everyone!
That intro was so dope, one of my favorites up to now 🤘
Love it, thanks for the lefty love Ola
$50k is nothing like Rock'n'Roll, but more of Dolece'n'Gabbana, Fish'n'Chips, In'n'Out, and Bull'n'Shit.
Dude, your guitar playing even improved so much! That solos touched my soul, no shit, beautiful stuff. This is one of my fave SWOLA Episodes so far.
thanks for a great video again Be safe and skilful. Pinge
Love the new segment!!! It would awesome if you showed us how to play a part in your intro every time!!!!
Yeeeeeeessss... Lean into the guitar-monies!!! That intro gives me life.
Hell yeah! Already posted a vid for Fear Factory bass!🤘
HEY OLA! You are an awesome guitar player, keep up the great work
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING A 29" LEFT HANDED BARITONE GUITAR!!!! Its been a struggle to find one.
I really dig the harmony part in the solo!
Nice bit of soloing in the intro. Nice pick throw.
Crazy riff as always to begin the show!!!!
Hell yeah!! Intro riff sounds like If Slayer was actually good.. love it!!
Ola, my name is Sean Cooney. I’m a veteran. I’m from Boston Massachusetts. Just wanted to say I love your show. I watch it every weekend. I’m saving up to buy solar guitar. Right now I have a EVH 5150 iii 50 W 2 x 12 for guitars. I have an EVH Wolfgang and Jackson dinky. I think you’re an awesome guitar player. I love when you do the licks at the end of the show where we practice. I wish we would do that more. I look forward to, but anyway just wanted to say hi wish you the best.
I am Indonesian! Thanks, Ola.
im a lefty guitarist and that definitely non-edited in guitar looks absolutely sick!
Cool to see the Katana go! I wonder if it could also be passable to for bass practice?
I recently got the Chug pedal. I ordered it on Monday and it was delivered on Thursday! Just in time for my birthday. I fucking love it!! Sounds amazing!
The new boss katana go. Will it Chug . You can plug it through the PA or you can use your headphones and can connect your phone to it through Bluetooth.
Wow that guitar really pops in the red 💥
I have a friend who's an absolute brutal beast and he does the pinch harmonics with his pointer finger under the pick and doing an upstroke. Best pinch harmonics I have heard outside of Zakk.
Ep 180!? Wholly Shooooot. I remember #1!
Sweet! 😊
Nice intro jam Ola!
He finally woke up regarding FF.😂😂 I am the Jason Newsted of that thing I did FISM and started pestering them on it before these rules where set. I rehearse their us tour setlists every day. I guess i need to get the in ear thing now and a 5 string bass. Every other point I can cross off!
About the Index finger harmonic, Akira Takasaki and Kyoto Yamamoto have been doing that since the early 80's.
I normally will use the pointer or middle finger for a harmonic. But that's normally because a lot of times when I do one I will pick up
Like the "new segment" and in the intro songs You did a harmony part, can You show haw did You do that?
Hella good! 🤘🤘
Got used to doing pinch harmonics will any of my fingers, hand, pick whatever, it comes naturally when doing it for over 30 years
When you figure out the finger nail thing, please post 😂 My nail squares off the same way and thought we had actually figured out why it is 🕵♂️😂
I have the fender and the vox headphone amps and sound great though my FRFR. Tried it though a pa at a bar and people where asking where the amp was. This is going to be cool
Intro was the best one yet
Now that’s what I call an intro 🤘
In that Gibson video, in that studio are 21 of those Jimmy Page Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck Collector's Edition guitars. That's $1.5 million USD of guitar.
Hey Ola plz make a video about what drum and guitar plugins you use for the intro, and how you mix and master it.
i always look forward to sundays with olas they get me back into the groove from a wicked hangover from the night before OR im still up drinking when it premieres because im in canada and the time zone diff is 1000 hours and i get it like 2 weeks early LOL, just kidding i get it at like 1am i think maybe 11pm saturday
Holy shit, that intro definitely matches the hotness of that Candy Red Solar guitar!!
I want a Katana GO, but already have a Spark GO, a microcube, and a Honeytone. The Spark Go sounds amazing through headphones (AKG) and is a great Bluetooth speaker. No point in me getting the Katana Go.
I noticed how it was easier to do a pinch harmonic when i hit with both pointer and thumb
How I do my pinch harmonics is with both my thumb and index finger. I'll break it down a bit. I have the tip of my thumb lightly resting on the string and pick with the tip of my index finger at the same time.
Sick opening tune!!
Dude i dig the lick lesson
The Intro was bliss, sounded like old Arch Enemy
OMG Ola that lefty is amazing as a left handed player myself there’s not many options for us especially metal guitars it’s amazing Sola Guitars are offering such fantastic choices take care mate
@Ottophil

If you learn to play right handed the options are endless. As a righty, ive almost never had to pick a different guitar because it was left handed only
Great episode as always, but i missed not seeing pix the pupper. 😞
Killer intro Ola!
I think Page signed each one as well as played them and included the pick he used. Not sure even then I'd pay $50k for it though. I really like my Fender Micro. Has a bunch of effects and amp combos but being able to change settings via phone would be pretty sweet.
The lefty is perfect. I want one.
A walkthrough of how to dial in the "Chug" tone would be nice. All I get is a distorted flubby bassy muted rythm tone. Idk how much is in the pickups or noise gate settings.
Solid intro!
Solo was tight Ola gave me some Nevermore vibes 🤘
Ok, there's another technique called a false harmonic, where you reach over to the fretboard with your picking hand, touch the string at whatever fret you want to ring with your index finger, and flick the string in front of it with the thumb of the same hand. Its kinda hard to describe it instead of show it.
"Noodling in the dark" instantly made me scream "like a noodle in the dark" in my best Dio voice. 🤘😂

Bahahahahahahaha!!! Holy shit! Now every time I hear that song NOODLE will replace the word rainbow!!!
With the pich harmonic I thought it was due to your hand position, or the angle of the plectrum, and that the attack is produced with the index finger and the tone is produced by the plectrum.
you and Glen from spectre sound studios make such good content. I'd love to see some content collab with you guys, maybe a coffee with Ola 👀

When I was a kid I did pinch harmonics with by picking up and catching it with my finger. This was largely due to not having a teacher and holding the pick wrong. Worked though.
