Shocking??? The group stage already showed indications for it so it‘s not a surprise. Terrible offensive with no ideas against Spain compared to almost win against Germany that starts the tournament convincingly. Well, that Italy performed even worse is somewhat shocking the proud Italian defense was non existent playing deep but very passive without pressing is basically asking the swiss to combine however they want for opportunities 😂

As an Italian I can say what a disgrace we played, it was better that Croatia came through, we played with such shame, and the players couldn't wait to go on holiday, if we'd put an amateur team together we'd have played better, if I were the Italian players I'd feel nothing but shame.

Swiss clearly shot the prettiest goals this tournament so far.

The best midfielder in the world this season imo. His stats this season exceeds Kroos with similar numbers. And he is a lot more active and running a higher distance

Switzerland dominated italy completely. The first half they dominated them with the ball and the second half without the ball, by just letting italy go as far as they wanted and then taking the ball from them and controling where it went.

I thought all roads lead to Rome, there must have been a lot of traffic today😂

Croatia would probably have given more of a game to Switzerland

Except for the very convincing Spain, the central neighbors Germany/Swiss/Austria/Denmark are all no pushover on this euros. Based on performance so far, unless England step it up a lot of lvls they‘re going under against the Swiss and it wouldn‘t be some shocking surprise

I doubt England look much better than Italy vs Switzerland… They are excellent at destroying short passes and good at defending long passes. If you don’t use the few second balls you get for goals it will be extremely hard to beat the Swiss. That’s already the 2nd favourite to struggle with their pressing after Germany. And so far they have been efficient

The manager is not competitive. Switzerland will find the best tactic vs a favourite. If the manager doesn’t find a tactical alternative to have a chance it’s his fault. Nagelsmann and the Scottish trainer did ( granted in the game vs Germany he didn’t have one and Switzerland copied Germanys first game tactic. But every favourite looks bad vs Switzerland. That’s what makes them so dangerous: They destroy the game tactics by pressing high and being strong in one on ones. Similar to Austria. France last Euros, Spain last Euros, Germany this Euros and now Italy have all looked bad. At some point we should realise that’s just what. Switzerland does against any team except Portugal
