Glad that worked out for you. The lithium is so much better. It has been a learning process for the last several years for you, but your not as incapable as you think, don't sell yourself short Jenna. Your more than capable and you should be proud of all the things you have gotten yourself into and made your way through. Mistakes in the past are lessons learned and become knowledge, and knowledge is power. I, and i am sure many others of us here are quite proud of yah girl! As always, good vibes your way, and be safe up there!! :)

SOME SAFETY TIPS: Put a fuse or breaker in line with positive wire that runs from your solar panels to your charge controller AND again in line between your charger controller and the inverter. Match the size of your fuses/breakers with the current flowing. You need to be able to disconnect your input and output to the charge controller.. ALSO: Always use bigger gage wires than needed and NEVER more than three wires in a wire nut/or crimp cap....... if you need more than 3 connections to go together, daisy chain several connections using 3 wires per wire nut and keep adding more to the chain to get the number of connections needed.. OR use a heavy gage Terminal Block instead of daisy chaining connections. EVEN so, I am very impressed at your ability and what you have done so far. . keep up the good work, kid.. from an old retired engineer...

What happens to the controller if the added fuse between the battery and controller would fail? I believe that things need to be disconnected in a specific order to prevent damage to the unit. The controller should contain regulating technology to shut down safely during a fault.

"T" class fuse on the positive battery output cable not exceeding the capacity of the cable or load, whichever is least. The charge controller should be OK without one.

Jenna, you did a good job of the electrical but, only one thing that would make it better is to connect your black wires together. By doing that you will eliminate the higher resistance of the steel pathway between your old ground and your new ground but, be sure to keep a ground wire attached to the frame. Copper or aluminum wires have least resistance with copper being the best of the two. Gold is the absolute best with silver being next neither one used for common house hold wires.

YOU GO GIRL 👍👍👍. If I go lithium in my camper, I’ll get a hold of ya to scoot up and do mine. 😄. I know I’ll not live in an apartment- after having my house by the woods for near 40 years… which burned two years ago from electrical fire in the middle of the night 😳. Within an hour it was gutted 😳 I’d never believe just how fast houses burn if I didn’t sit outside in bare feet watching it , sooo fast. Something caught my attention the first video of yours I ever watched - Rory - and the nickname Baba. My little black dog, Rory, my BABA , died a few months before the fire… he was 18 & 1/2 , deaf and all but shadow blind from cataracts… he walked around the house knowing EXACTLY where and how to maneuver, he’d have been terribly confused in any other place - sweet little man he was 💔🐾 but, I smile everytime you say Rory 🥰 Anyway, long winded here this morning 😄. You did an amazing job Jenna I really enjoy your videos and you’ve been an inspiration to camper life for me! It’s my first entire year in mine before just the warm season, and to my sons apartment to sink into depression LOL ALL the best to ya girl.

Happy to see you doing this. I'll tell you something that you're going to notice. The voltage ⚡🔋 under any load will be higher than the lead acid battery. That means that the inverter will use less amps. It's even more noticeable on 24 volts. I used to get a huge volts drop when I turned the oven on. With the lithium batteries, it was a lot less, so the voltage is half a volt higher while it's on. The charge controller will run mine up to 27.7 v ( 13.85 for you) before dropping to less amps going into the batteries. They always end up at 26.6v. I never use much of it before charging starts again. I am using two inverters now. I have a 12 volts one on my wind generator with fifteen of the 12 volts deep cycle lead acid batteries, and it works great. One more thing, if you take the covers off of my Aims Power inverter charger and a similar sized Sungoldpower, you can't see any difference. They have the same parts. The only difference is the cover. I thought that was kind of funny. I couldn't believe it at first. You did a pretty good job, except I don't like wire nuts. I probably would have soldered that connection. Especially on a cable. But no more power than you use, it'll probably be okay. You've made a big upgrade from what you had before.

Good job! Those spiral wire connectors don't work as intended for stranded wire and have the possibility to create a weaker than optimal connection and create heat or arching at the connection with multiple stranded wires as you have. Being close to the propane tanks....and for your safety...I would recommend revisiting that connection and strip those wires back a little more...use a crimp style connector like you did for the battery terminals...and fill with solder after crimped to have a 100% solid connection. Then just shrink wrap to keep corrosion out and ya be good. God Bless and keep ya safe..👍

Found that the extreme distance from the DC chargeer in the power center and the higher voltages of a Li battery made it so the battery would not charge completely. Contacted WEFCO and they said I needed to upgrade the DC cables to larger wire gauge. The rout I took was to move the battery charger a lot closer to the batteries. Itr worked well!

As you add solar panels you will no doubt notice that the batteries are full earlier in the day. When this happens the panels are still generating electricity, but it isn't being used. This is excess electricity. It is a bonus, free electricity that you can use or lose. Have you considered what you will do with your excess electricity? Many use this to heat water. I use it to run a small high efficiency heat pump. Everyone's needs are different.

Self heating only comes on when the battery is below 0 AND the battery is seeing a charge voltage. Once the battery heats up to temperature it will then start charging. Once charging the heat that is created from the charge process will likely keep the battery warm enough. Another words the self heating option will not use much of your power at all. Lithium can be discharged without needing to be warm so no worries. Definitely a good upgrade for you. Just note that you shouldn’t run much more than 1200w on a single battery because the BMS is likely only 100amp. I run three 100ah batteries so that is 100amp BMS X3 which gives me almost 4000w of power. It’s good if you are looking to run saws and stuff. If you are thinking you will need more inverter wattage its best to add another lithium of the same size as soon as possible so you can properly balance the batteries. 👍👍

sungoldpower has been great for us. we have 4 of their 450 watt solar panels on the roof and their 5000w inverter/ charge controller combo in our rv. very happy with them!

Glad to hear it! I saw those split phase inverters (I think that's what they're called) and I have been meaning to research them to understand a little more about them!

At 0:09, next time, keep your hand on the plank where it's supported by your stand (chair). That way, when you have finished the cut, there is less chance of your hand falling towards the saw blade. 😊

That's awesome! Lithium is definitely the way to go. Should last far longer than golf cart batteries. Electrical is definitely intimidating. Mistakes are expensive. 😂

I'm always a bit surprised when I see my cheapo 100 watt panel putting out 10-15 watts on a cloudy rather heavily overcast day, especially in February.
