I never took the adhesive sticker off of my case to stick onto my Fold. After watching you struggling to get it off, I'm glad I made that choice. Good luck with the Open.

The matte bezel is nice, because it doesnt get finger prints, but it does make it look cheap still

actually, I need to make all OnePlus open buyers aware there are scammers in Bangladesh stealing peoples personal information from the OnePlus store. So beware if you ever in your OnePlus phone and you noticed your account gets stuck in Bangladesh make sure you do a factory reset software is the worst and just keep in mind that Z-fold. is a lot better more reliable with less main screen issues. I’m seeing so many inner broken screens on OnePlus open as well. I had my Z-fold five heavier dropped it three times and still perfect.

I turned off spatial audio in my dolby Atmos settings it stopped that audio issue

Looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the Open. I think OnePlus has added some competition to the fold space. But pound for pound, feature for feature, they still don’t truly compete in the same league. Can’t wait for the Fold 6 and the Open 2 those are gonna be 🔥 There has to be something they can do to make those cases easier to deal with! That’s too much to go through for devices in that price range!

I tried to love the OnePlus but Fold5 software is just better. Separate screens, bigger display when not outside, better camera software, and overall better manufactured.

Fold 5 cant have 3 full size apps at the same time, and the open has much better cameras, ligher, faster charging, looks better

my own personal opinion but I just can't do the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, it's too narrow, heavier and just doesn't open up as well to me... among other things, that's why I got the OnePlus Open... hate me if you want, but at least we got options and you can get and like whatever device you want 🤷🏾

In my country there selling both One Plus Open and Oppo Find N3 like …… 😅 But not to much people use or buy, mosly more to samsung S and ZFold or ZFlip and Pixel phone..

I am really curious to see where you end up. I bought all three foldables last week with the intention to return 2 of them, and honestly, it is really hard to pick between the fold 5 and open. Pixel fold can go, I don't even care about it.

@@JamaltlLee I like the form factor too but for whatever reason the software is not optimized to be a foldable. It has bugs with split screen, there are no floating apps, it can't even connect to an external display with it's USB c port. It feels like google focused on making the hardware feel premium but didn't care about giving people a productivity focused device.

@@GeetMadan makes a lot of sense. Those are some of the issues I have with "stock" OS in general. Google is always praised for having all these features on their phones, yet they lack a good amount of basic features that would enhance the experience, like floating windows for example.

Cases for the OnePlus Open are even worse then the Zfold 5

@@JamaltlLee yeah the free case is pretty bad but so far I've bought 3 from Amazon and all of them are actually worse than the free case. I've got 2 cases for my Zfold 5 and both of them are WAY better than anything I could find for the Open 🤦

I've had incredible cases for the open. All 3 of mine are extra premium. They hard to take off though but no adhesive needed

One plus fans have a chip on their shoulders. Let's look at the areas where it is "better". I won't even mention the front screen. That's a preference One Plus folks can't grasp. Camera: The main advantage is the zoom. Everything else is a toss up as far as the image results go. Are we interested in results or specs? I've seen a number of comparisons and each phone has taken a win. It has not been a landslide advantage for the Open at all. I am interested to see your test results. Battery: The 1+ charges a half hour quicker to 100% which is definitely an advantage, but I could live without that. The Z charges quickly up to 70% and then it slows down. That's the main difference. A recent battery test by android police shows through 15% the Open charges to 37%. The Z charges to 32%. Through a half hour the Open charges to 65%. The Z charges to 58%. Again, slightly better until the 70% mark. The brightness has also been exaggerated. Tests show the Open is not as bright and can't go as dim as the Z5. Even if it were brighter, I don't need a flashlight to see my Z4's screen so I'm not sure what the advantage is. Lastly and most important, the Open is nowhere near as durable as the Z5. There is a broken Open on reddit every 1-2 days. The Z5 has progressed in this area and it has been available for a longer period of time. As I see it, the Open is only marginally better than the Z in some areas.

I think you laid it all out pretty nicely. The point about the front screen being a preference that many can't grasp is super true. On most of my (maybe all) videos that have to do with the OnePlus Open, there's at least one person who swears the bigger outer display is objectively better, when really it's a preference. I wish more people were able to recognize the difference between personal biases and actual truths. The charging stuff is interesting, I never thought about how close it actually is between 0-70%.

No toss up in terms of cameras. Oneplus is wayyyyy ahead. Not even close. Samsung is just mediocre man.

As you say, you're a Samsung fanboy and you will hate everything about the Oneplus open. Just sell it!
