It's because in the show she became deaf at 5 and in real life she became deaf around like 17 I think so she uses an accent in the show

"i learnt helicopter yesterday but of course i forgot it" haha made me laugh

I like how there was like 5 seconds of ASL, but the title is all about asl...

I'm actually surprised their outside is really inside. In Disney channel shows or soap operas, you can always tell that they're shooting on an inside set and see how fake it is. But I honestly thought they used outside, wow they're lighting is impressive .-.

She cracks me up lol...she really does! But I do have topping out that Bay and Ty are equally gorgeous :-) Blair *IS* indeed dapper. If you get what I'm saying -- every time I see Bay. and Ty together I always think: "Can you imagine what their kids would look like?' :-)

Vanessa's all like, "I didn't keep it in check! I was like 'you're prettier than I am!'" literally, love it. She's so candid!

HOLY MOLY the whole first season while watching i was like "Bay literally looks like Laura Marano but idk maybe its just me" and just then i realise they are sisters. FACEPALM

me too.... I did think id be able to read what they signed, that's what I first watched but, no still too fast for me!!

This cast is wonderful. They did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. Great entertainment and education combined.

Lord, I would have never guessed their driveway is inside. Samantha is right, their lighting department is incredible.

Katie: 27 Vanessa: 21 Lucas: 29 Sean: 21 Why are they playing teenagers?!?!

Jade Goodwin It's not matter how old they are. By their looks, they looked pretty much like teenagers. Sean Berdy is 21 also, yet he's teenager in the show. Most TV shows or movies like to put young adult to play teenager.

Blooddeath1993 I don't think Katie and Lucas look like college students. I don't think they look old or ugly, but they look much more mature then young 20 year olds. I know that young adults play teenagers, which is stupid, but make sure they actually look that age.

i love the switched at birth show and really enjoy sign language

I love this show. I Got My Whole Family Hooked On it. I cried on season 4 episodes 10. This show is just awesome need more please

I wonder how their sign language is now that they have had a few seasons.

I liked Emmet and Bay at the beginning of the relationship but he has proven to be very childish and changeable - like the type that says "I'll love you forever" then a few months later, "I meant it at the time" while Bay's character has only grown since the beginning. Ty definitely gets my vote.. he's a man!

+Ava Marie I think Emmett is cuter than Ty and like I said, I really liked their relationship at the beginning but he IS super selfish and childish.. helloooo he cheated and now he's with another girl lol. That is not love. So it's partly opinion... but mostly that's just how his character was made. And my original comment was made before he apologized to Bay for acting that way. My opinion is subject to change of course but right now, I definitely think Ty was more mature and thoughtful of Bay's feelings.

They need to bring this show back the character lines are so rich they could surely show where the characters are today and all the actors are so top notch. I just found this show on prime ans I watched the entire five seasons in two weeks. I am I withdrawal now missing it terribly.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIE IT'S MY SECOND TIME WATCHING IT.

I LOVE SWITICHED AT BIRTH Everyday can be stressful but when I watch switched at birth I feel happy. BAE IS AMAZING

I'm so sad that Blair/Ty won't be in s.3. He and Emmett didn't even get to have any man-to-man talk over the girl they both loved, you know, may the best man win and all that. Ah well, I'm just consoling myself watching Blair in beyond two souls and BatB.
