Switchbot Bot vs Fingerbot Plus
Ғылым және технология
Both the Switchbot Bot and Fingerbot Plus are devices that make existing buttons and switches controllable via your smartphone or voice assistant. Here I compare both of these devices.

I am interested to know that if I dont want to use the hub how many phones can I connect to the Fingerbot at once? Can it only be paired with one device? I want to use it to push buttons on the garage remote fob and give bluetooth access to various colleagues.
@MarksTechVlogs

I’m not sure if you can pair to multiple phones unless you have the app and same login on them but you can use it without the hub as long as you’re in Bluetooth range
I wonder how much pressure/force the units exert, and if there are other products that have a stronger push. I also wonder what the mechanism is -- a threaded screw etc.
@MarksTechVlogs

Neither are huge amounts of pressure but I’m not sure if there’s anything stronger out there either

@@MarksTechVlogs Thank you! The device I am trying to operate has hard buttons, thus, I might have to build a pusher from scratch from actuators.
Hi, is it possible to control this remotely, meaning i would turn switch from a distance? or this is Bluetooth based only so once i am out of the distance it wont work? Thanks

The Switchbot needs the hub mini or hub 2 from Switchbot to work out of home whereas fingerbot have their own hub
I have Fingerbot and Fingerbot plus. After getting a Fingerbot plus to replace a broken Fingerbot, I was told I needed to upgrade to the "Mesh Hub" app. Once doing that integration through Alexa stopped working for adaprox, and the Mesh Hub app would not pair to Amazon/Alexa regardless of how I tried do it, and Adaprox support became nonexistent. Now I either use only their proprietary app, or nothing which makes the devices fairly useless to me..
Thanks for the video; it's nice to see them compared side-by-side! I'm wondering if it's possible to use the app to program repeated presses... Say, a press every thirty seconds or every minute, and have that continue (when out of Bluetooth range) until commanded to stop. Are either of them able to do that? (In my case, I'd like it to trigger my camera while being flown by a large kite. Related, but not so important, is there any significant weight difference between the two?)

I’m not sure about the fingerbot but the switchbot app has just added this ability in Scenes 3.0 (although I’m yet to test it out)
I have 5ghz wifi but it has 2.4 as well, will the hubs for the switchbot automatically connect to the 2.4ghz or do i have to mess about with my router settings?
@MarksTechVlogs

It may depend on your router but I’ve used these with my eero router which has both 2.4 and 5ghz networks with no issues or need to change any settings
So would you need a hub to activate once a day automatically?

Hello. Please can you tell us how many hubs do you need with a group of fingerbots. For example: 1 hub per Fingerbot or 1 hub can control several Fingerbots. If so how nay Fingerbots can be controlled on 1 hub. Thanks

Hey, I can't find anything that says there is a limit for how many Fingerbots per hub however, they will all need to be in bluetooth range of the hub
Hi, thanks for this - can you clone the switch to a fob (a garage fob)?

Do you mean use it to push a fob button? Possibly but you’d probably need to create some kind of housing for the fob

If it’s infrared then the switchbot hub 2 or hub mini should be able to do that as long as the hub close to the door receiver. Have you also considered one of these though? amzn.to/3RS3qoq

It can be done without a hub. You will set up the schedule via the switchbot app. But, if you want to manually press the button and are not in bluetooth range the hub is required. So say you wanted to turn on the A/C from the car on your way home you would need a hub, but if you wanted to have your espresso machine turn on at 8am each day you would not need a hub. I put a switchbot bot on my Door Buzzer for my apartment, and with the switchbot Hub can use google assistant to let myself in without having to use my keys. Hope this helps!
